He sed Route 30 gots :eek: *Flooded* in 1-lane construction zone "dip"...
We losted almost an HOUR *creeping* down da hill to take our turn *creepin* thru da waddur...
Da udder side goin west wuz kompleetly stopped!

Den he wunted to know why da Ko-Pilut dint knowe dat!? *Oopsie* :o

Cinnerz sed *I* wuz s'pozed to be *on duty* fur da leg a da trip! :o

DAD SEZ:

from lockin up the DP Gate!
The only "Ko-Pilut" on duty for the whle trip was
the NASCAR Race announcer! :rolleyes:

I'll tell the FurKids they should put in a call to
their Big Buddie "UpStairs" - and THANK Him for the
GREAT Weather we had all day!
The 5PM "sprinkle" was just that - a *sprinkle*!

Didn't *RAIN* till about 6 - 6:30!

GREAT TIME had by ALL - "Hoomins" AND FurKids!

And SPECIAL THANKS to all the Folks who made the Loooong Trips

Great pictures everyone!! Still hoping Liz checks in to let us know she made it alright!

It rained here from about the time we hit BG until about 8:30 pm, then it stopped for a few hours and we had a nice time at another cookout. About the time Ralph and our friend got the bonfire going it started pouring again (maybe 10:30 or 11). By about 12:30 I had had enough of the rain, and since there as no break in sight, we headed home.

I'm gettingpictures ploaded now. The dogs are still beat...they didn't even eat or go out before bed last night. Today, they got up about 9, went out, still haven't eaten, and Sadie and Spot are on the couch and Cincy is on the floor in front of the snoring :D

It looks like it was a super fun day! It's funny but you lucky Ohio people have had so many of these meetings that I can almost identify everyone by now without even looking for names under pictures. Just color me a little envious for living too far to make the trip. The memorial bench was beautiful and so touching. What a sweet thing. Binx and Smokey we'll always remember you two. Thanks for posting the pics everyone. I'll keep checking to see more as they are added. :)

Hi guys, :D Smokey & I made it home o.k. The last 12 miles or
so where kinda "hairy" with blinding rain. really pushed it on
the way home cause the t-storms, etc. were predicted in Indy
by early evening. Had a few tornado touchdowns here on the
other side of town.:eek:

Smokey & I had a great time. ALL the doggies were wonderful
and Pet Talkers are a terrific bunch of people.:)

Have to go now & mop up a flooded basement.:rolleyes:

p.s. Smokey wants to know if we can go to the park again today.:D

WOW! I have found myself caught up in the excitement! Being a *cat person* is different and I see all these dogs playing happily together and it is amazing:D I don't know *anything* about dogs!!! But I loved all the pictures and seeing the people behind the screen names and yes, some I feel like I already know. We live in Dayton and make regular trips to Ft Wayne so get off at 30, so will have to take a jaunt to Findlay one of these times and look at the new bench!! Hubby is just now taking an interest in PT and seeing just why I get so excited about it:D Maybe we can even attend one of the next meetings!:)

Kay, your dogs weren't bad :) I don't know how Simba was, cause he was over in the shleter by the time I got there, but Nala was fine. She was a little vocal, but some people talk a lot too!! Spot loved chasing with her! I think she and Roxey are his favorite running buddies at the park :)

Sadie had fun playing ball with Honey too. I didn't get a picture, but they both went airborn for the ball at the same time and hit chest to chest. It was look a baseball bloopers reel.

Kimmy- I made bacon this morning too...dogs still haven't touched their food, but they were happy to eat the bacon and eggs!!!

Debbie- Findlay is a sraight shot up 75 from you...only about 1 1/2-2 hours. We'd love to have you come!!

The way to "stay out of trouble" with ImageStation -
is to *LINK* to the Album instead of trying to
Directly POST dozens of pictures.

ImageStation doesn't seem to "mind" a FEW photos being posted -
but they *object* to having LOTs of photos directly displayed
on web sites.

Not to mention - when folks directly *display* dozens of photos
here on Pet Talk -
SOME of us (with slower 'puters and/or Dial-Up connections) -
can NEVER :mad: get the page with multiple photos to ever Load Up!

It's FAR more *enjoyable* to be shown a FEW - representative photos -
and then have a "LINK* to the ImageStation ALBUM!

Amy, I wish you could have been there too. There were several remarks about how much Tori looked like Nebo when he wasa pup. I want to meet Nebo in person so bad! One of these days.....*sigh*. I don't know if I want to live in Utah but I definitely want to come and visit you and Nebo and see all that great scenery that is always in your pics. We just got back home. Miss Hoppy is well, and will hopefully forgive us soon. I'm gonna go get some petting in after I post this.

The ride home was grey and rainy, but otherwise fine, no heavy rains or thunderstorms, we took the northern route home to try to avoid the heaviest of the storms. We're home and safe, my sunburn has faded a bit, and we're just tuckered out for now.

So we called Tubby & PeaNutter a few minnitz ago -
An Mom Debbie answered da Dinger!

They decided ta "camp out" when they spotted a nice campground
Sunday afternoon - jest affore da Big :eek: Storm hit.
Motor Howze all set up whenna Big Rainz came through.
Luckie fur dem - they stopped AFFORE they wudda run into

They gotz Home to da Big Howze Monday late afternoon.

Well, I had another great time at the Findlay dog park. I got to see all the regulars and I even got to meet some new folks. What a special treat that was! I got to meet Kay and her dad along with Simba and Nala, Lauren and Honey, Liz and Smokey and Debbie and Terry. Let me think...OMG...I can't forget sweet baby Jasmine. What a cutie and she was such a good baby. I also got to meet her parents, Christy and Brian and her grandpa Carl (Diana's Husband). I got to see Karen and Paul again also! Tori did really well and seemed to enjoy herself. All the dogs were wonderful and very well behaved. Which reminds me....I finally got to meet Angus!! I love him! He is one gorgeous dog. He was so sweet and gentle and I think Anna has been holding out on us ;) That brings me to Roxey. We got to be there to celebrate her birthday and help her eat her birthday cake. I'm telling you she was looking her absolute best too. She is one stunning and beautiful girl! You should have seen how good she was when mom made her pose with her cake. Wow, I was impressed! You are awesome, Roxey. I actually got to stay later this time since I didn't have to be at work the next morning and I had a real nice time chatting with Phred, Karen and Paul after the rest of the gang had left. The storm chased me off though and I regret that I didn't get to say a proper goodbye to those three. I was already soaked from just running to the car and there was no way I was getting back out in that mess..hehehe. One more thing... The special memorial tribute was very nice. The pet talk bench, trees and portraits of Binx and Smokey are fabulous. It was an honor to be there and see it and to get to sit on the bench. Ok, enough gabbing...on with the pics...just a few here and then I'll post the link.

Hey Everybody! Yes, we made it home ok, although the motorhome got d-i-r-t-y from the spray from all the rain. :rolleyes: Long story short, sometimes Terry is a little anal about keeping the motorhome clean...;) :rolleyes: :o

I couldn't believe our timing. We had just pulled in and got parked when the deluge hit. I was on my cell phone talking to my mom, looking out the big front window watching it rain - and I couldn't see even 4' in front of the motorhome! Terry had gone inside to pay, so I was alone in the mothome and it was rocking from the wind. I didn't know at the time that a tornado had been sighted just 10 miles from us! :eek: But the good news is we were safely in one spot, and there was a beautiful rainbow (a double one even) after the rain, so all was well.

We really enjoyed ourselves and are nursing minor sunburns also. I really enjoy seeing and playing with all the puppers. And I'm so happy I got to see my favorite again - Angus. He's so calm cool and collected and just seems so layed back. It's as if he's always saying - been there done that, no need to get excited about it anymore. :D

I really enjoyed meeting the people and pups I hadn't met before, and it was good to see familiar faces again too. Missed a few faces I was hoping to see (Jo, where were you?) and just overall had a great time. We didn't have any dinner because we were both stuffed from all the good food.

I haven't even had a chance to think about unloading my pics. The current class I'm in is a real pain, and I really should get back to it. I loved all the pics everyone posted so far, and I'll have to come back to go through everyone's albums. As soon as I get my pics done, I'll let you all know.

I know I got a good video of Roxey and her birthday cake, with her attempting a nibble or too, so I'll try and get to them ASAP.

Deb - I can't believe you are only 1 1/2 hours away and you weren't there!!! Even though we only have cats, it's just so much fun going and meeting and watching all the doggies play and interact. You really MUST come to one - hopefully next Memorial Day when hopefully we'll be there again. :D

And here's Cone Head Terry. :D This is the cone that I rescued off the streets of Chicago last year. I had him up for adoption because I just wan't providing a proper home for him. Kimmy was gracious enough to adopt him on the spot. Hope he's acclimating well to his new home Kim, and getting along with the rest of his new cone family. :D

Yup, that's my grandaughter, Jasmine. Sure is nice having them visit from Texas. This is one grandma that is enjoying her grandchild while she can - who knows when I will get to see her next!

Well, I just want to say what a terrific time we had on the 30th. It was so nice to get to meet some new people and pups (Lauren, Honey, Liz and Smokey). I'm sorry the rest of you who were planning on coming didn't get to attend...maybe next time:)

You all had such wonderful pictures. It took me forever to get through all of them, there must have been at least 1000!

I still can't believe how terrific Angus did, he was such a gentleman. It's unreal how much he has mellowed over the last year. He had a great time and was soooo tired (and sore) the next day. I think he really loved being able to be around all of the other dogs and meet all of them.
Of course the girls weren't as pooped as they usually are since they had to stay close to big brother this time;)

So, I've got somebody's black hard plastic serving spoon, Phred has my black hard plastic serving spoon, and somebody is missing a black hard plastic serving spoon.

The spoon I'm missing and the spoon I've got are virtually identical - thus the late identification error, so whoever is still missing a spoon is more than welcome to the one that Phred has.

Welll....in my experience, BHPSS (black hard plastic serving spoons) don't get very attached to their owners, and adapt very quickly to new environments, so if it's all the same to the somebody who is still missing their BHPSS, I'll just keep the one I ended up with. After all, he's kinda cute. ;) :D

Phred, I'm not sure how Amy feels, but one black spoon is as good as another....so I'm happy with the one I've got if that's not a problem with Amy. If she wants one back you could send the one you have to her? Or maybe just drop it off again next time you guys all get together? That one there is brand spanking new. We bought it at the outlet mall on the way over to Findlay, so that picnic was the first (and last?) time it's been used.

Amy if you really want your spoon back I've got no problem shipping it out, I just don't know as it's necessary.....

However, thanks so much Phred, for being so worried about our lost spoonz. Looks to me like he's in real good company and might be kinda lonely in my drawers.
