The angel babies from the thread "do you believe in angels" have been, through unforseen circumstances, been forced to share the dairy queen! I trapped a grey & white pregnant petite kitty almost two weeks ago. She went into a foster home, and a few days later into labor. Things were not going well for her, and she was rushed to the emergency vets and given a cesarian section later that evening. Easter Sunday $$$$ though the vets were already treating dogs dying from chocolate consumption etc. I wasn't there for the event, but came home to a message that Missy had delivered 3 kittens, which were overdue, and wasn't in any shape to nurse them. One went to R.B the next day, and despite numerous attempts to get her to care for them she couldn't. She likely would have hemmoraged to death outside birthing them. So I picked the two survivors up monday eve. and brought them home to introduce to angel babes mama Josephine. I have never been spit at by this cat until then! She wanted them and I couldn't give them to her fast enough! :eek: She has been so good to the newcomers without my disguising their smell, it's like they have always been hers. So the "Porkers" who are 24 days old, and the "PeeWees" who are all of 4 days now have been quite a sight! :D I cycle the Porkers off for several hours a few times a day while the PeeWees nurse 24/7 and things are going well for the whole gang. Now...just have to get the PeeWees big enough to dress up! :D :D :D

Awww...what a good momma, to those that aren't even hers! That is so sweet, and I'm so glad you were there to bring the "pee wees" home to their surogate mother. Hopefully their really momma gets better real quick too.

And I have to agree, you are the angel here, even if the halos are on the kittens. ;) :D

Too late! You've earned it and THEN SOME!!!

You are one hell of a rescuer, QSA. Someday their gonna erect a statue of you, arms FULL of cats and kittens, with a plaque that reads "Kitty Angel". ;)

Great job! Keep up the good work. You've already earned your solid gold pooper scooper -- More than halfway there to your halo.

God Bless Josephine for being such a wonderful mommy. We can learn a lot from her.

Jan, have I told you lately you are a miracle worker? Well you are. We need a lot more people like you. You have so much energy that you give to these rescues. Give yourself a big pat on the back from me and all of us. {{{Hugs to you, Jan}}}

I couldn't agree more.
QSA you are truly an inspiration to all who rescue these precious animals.
What a great story.

Thanks all! I'll try to take some pictures in a day or two. Much too much running around the last few days.:rolleyes: Eleven more rescued yesterday alone (in only about six hours) and lucky for me, none came here. The baby-boom is here with a thunderous roar though. :eek: :rolleyes: :eek: The Peewees real mama is doing better though she's still recovering from her c-section. Updates are positive though.:) The Porkers mama Josephine is fighting off a slight URI that I think the Peewees came in with. So needless to say I'm keeping a close watch on the Little League teams. The Porkers have been battling weepy eyes for a few days, but they're responding well to eye ointment. *sigh*
