I showed my boss the lightpole today...the conversation went a little like this...

Boss: How do you know you did that damage?

Me: Because I hit it.

Boss: Yeah, but how do you know that it wasn't already there?

Me: I don't

Boss: Then how do you know that you caused that?

Me: Because I hit it.

Boss: Tonya, get a clue.

Me: Oh! Yeah, I don't know if I did that. I am not sure, it could have already been like that.

Boss: Well, we'll pay for it, but I can't see myself suspending you if I don't have proof that you caused that damage.

Me: Ok! Thank you!

Boss: Don't thank me, you didn't damage that pole. I said...you didn't cause that damage, you hear me?

Me: Yes sir!

Gosh, I love him! :D

You're safe if you keep off the footpaths :) ;)

I'm happy that it went well. You deserve a change in luck!

What a nice boss! :)

My ex-bf backed my car into a lightpole. I took the blame for the huge dent in the bumper. (I was afraid my dad would kill him. lol )

Yes, it is about time things start going your way!

I remember years ago backing into a light pole. I felt so stupid.
There were small pieces of wood on my bumper and my friends teased me that I was the only person in the world who would find a completely wooden car - and HIT IT.

About National Boss Day
National Boss Day is Oct. 16 every year.

Origin: National Boss Day was launched in 1958 by Patricia Bays Haroski, an Illinois secretary. Was she a mastermind suck-up? A person with an exceptionally wonderful boss? Or was she just a super-competent secretary whose boss added to her "to do" list: "Create national holiday in my honor"? Actually, she was an appreciative daughter who worked for her father. His birthday was Oct. 16, which gave her the idea of using that date as an official day for people to honor their bosses.

7 months to plot........

Gini,

There's only one person I know that drives a wooden car......Fred Flintstone.

Did you get an autograph?

Chuck Yeager, the test pilot, befriended a farmer
near the airbase where he was training. One day the farmer complained about a tree that he wanted cut down.

The following day Yeager flew his P-39 over the ranch and topped the tree. When he landed the plane the maintenance officer noticed the damaged wingtip and went ballistic.

He asked Yeager what had happened. The wingtip had sprouted pieces of tree, bark and leaves...

Yeager answered that he had 'hit a bird'.

The MO replied, "Well, that SOB must have been sitting in one hell of a nest..."

-----------------------

When in doubt, blame it on a bird.
