I know not everyone visists Pet Genral so i deced to post this here to. That way I can get many diffrent answers.
I have the chance to rescue 2 ducks from a meat farm. This person has 17 thousand ducks. He said he would give me 2 cause he knows how I like to rescue animals (I was joking around with him one day)
These ducks have never swam in water, seen outside or touched grass.
Should I get them and contact this local man who will then care for them (we don't have indoor facilities to house them) or should I let "nature" take it's course??
I'm so torn.
Ash :(
Aw, poor little ducks. I would try to contact that guy. I mean if he will take good care of them then give him a try. Good luck.

I really don't know.. :(
I mean, it sounds really nice, but then again there are that 6 thousand + that are still going to suffer...
I say go for it though, if your parents give you permission to do so and you're for sure they have somewhere they can stay.

I've been getting that response from many people Kay. Although they will just be replaced, I will get to touch these 2 ducks lives and put them in heaven (or at least an outside pen :D )
It's to better the life of that ONE animal. I have always beleaved if you can touch one life you have done something wonderful with your life. I have the chance to touch two lives and make them better then they could have ever thought, an outside pen, with a pool to swim in!!! They will have a companion and they will get to feel the sunshine on there wings when they spread them, I can't imagine the joy that these ducks would feel comeing from a barn, only touching cedar shavings, to an outside pen with sunshine, water, grass and air, fresh air! :)
I think I'm going to go for it, if my parents will let me. I didn't want to ask him before I knew what I wanted to do. And I can't think of a reson not to help these 2.
Thanx for the feed back and support. From what my friend has told me he has 2 pretty healthy ducks for me. They are some kind of weird breed (I'll tell more on that tomrrow).

Let us know what happens. I was just thinking that rescuers have to remember "one life at a time", and you'd be saving two. :)

Do it! AND when they are home take lots of pics. It's unfortunate the others have to live that way, but even if you can save two that's totally worth it in my opinion. :)
