:) Over my lifetime- I have always had FEMALE cats....but now that I have a MALE cat, Morris, I find that he is MUCH more affectionate, never meets a stranger and will always turn over for some scratching under the chin or even the belly...My female cat, Pepper, who is 12 years old, wants attention and scratching, BUT on her terms only. We have gotten into a routine where I brush her at noon and before dinner, and she will let me know if I forget.:D
Pepper is the cat that I spoke of earlier---always playing in the water before she drinks....Her water bowl is not close to an outlet for a fountain, I have decided to just live with it..and placed a rubber mat under her bowl, (which she doesn't like) but HEA---life's rough. We will just have to survive the old fashioned way...thanks for everybodys suggestions...
