Please keep Little Buddy in your thoughts

Hello everyone,
My close friend's cat, Little Buddy, is very sick, and I wanted to have as many positive thoughts for him as I could.
Little Buddy is about a year old, he's male and is a stripey grey with beautiful green eyes. My friend has had him since he was a baby. Little Buddy isn't a big cat, but he always had a great appetite until about 10 days ago. He just stopped eating. My friend tried everything to coax him to eat, to no avail. She took him to the vet, and the vet x-rayed Little Buddy. There was a mass in his intestines, probably cancer.
Unfortunatly Little Buddy is too weak to undergo surgery, so there isn't much that can be done right now besides praying and making sure that Little Buddy isn't in pain.
Little Buddy is such a sweetie, I have tears in my eyes now thinking of him. It just doesn't seem fair that such a young cat can be so sick.

We're sorry about Little Buddy. We'll all be thinking of him and hope he gets stronger quickly so he can get the help he needs.

OMG I'm so sorry about little Buddy :( :( Are you sure nothing can be done????? You say "probably cancer", has it been confirmed by biopsy??? Being too weak for sir jury, isn't it possible for the vet to insert a needle to obtain a sample???

Hello again,

I spoke with my friend today, and Little Buddy had a pretty bad night. He woke her up about 2 am because he was meowing. Poor little guy didn't seem to be able to get comfortable, probably because he is so thin.
My friend called her vet today, and spoke with the vet again. The vet advised her to keep a close eye on Little Buddy and see how he is tonight.
Also, I asked her why they vet didn't do a biopsy. The vet thought that because he would have to sedate Little Buddy there was a chance that this would be too much for him to handle.
I'm going to see my friend and Little Buddy tonight, and I know that she will be so touched that so many people are thinking of him. It helps more than you can believe.

Oh dear:(:(:( Poor, little Buddy. He's just a baby; it's heartbreaking:( Me and Oliver and my Buddy are sending wee Buddy all our love and hopes for a miracle. Maybe the tumor is benign...any chance at all that a biopsy might be done? {{{HUGS}} to Buddy's Mom. She was be heartbroken.

I have some bad news. Little Buddy had another awful night, this time he was crying like he was in pain. He hasn't eaten much in the past week, and yesterday he just refused all food.
I saw him earlier today and he could hardly lift his head. But he still managed a little purr. It makes me cry just thinking of it.
My friend has decided that he is suffering too much and is going to take him to the vet tonight to be put to sleep. She said that she feels so guilty, but I told her that she has no reason to. She did all she could, and when it became too much for Little Buddy she made the hardest decision of all.
I printed off all the kind words and gave it to my friend, as she doesn't have a computer. She was very touched, so I'd like to say thanks for making her smile just a bit.
