Thank you for all your kind posts to Newcombe. Although I'm sure he's proud to be Cat of the Day, we're so sad that his day will always be the day of the horrific attacks in the U.S. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and your furry friends. :(

Yes, poor little gorgeous Newcombe, you finally got your day, and it is sadly overshadowed by this great tragedy. But people will catch up, so your day in the sunshine will be a little delayed, but everyone will soon come to ooh and aah over you! Congratulations, Newcombe, and give your people extra sugars as everyone realizes what blessings they do have!

By the way, Newcombe, I think you may be tied for worst kitty jumper with my Cosmo, who is at the rainbow bridge now. We used to think maybe he couldn't jump becuase he was white - well, he was kinda a peachy color! Poor little guy would look up at his sisters on the furniture, but never could figure out how they got up there!

Newcombe, sweet Newcombe... I too am so sad that your very special day has been darkened by this immense tragedy. Please know how much we loved reading about you and looking at your lovely photo. I know that everyone, when able, will come back to read all about you! You are still our very beautiful and deserving, lovingly rescued and cherished Cat of the Day. On days like today, we want to cling to those we love more than ever. Love and prayers to you and your family.
