Thai had a odd habit of jumping up and urinating in the toilet(couldn't teach her to flush). Do other cats do this? I have a picture of her doing this somewhere.

Lucky you that you have that kind of the cat. I have heard that some cat can do this, but my cat cannot do that.
I can imagine the cat in the toilet.
Guess it looks a little bit funny. But really handy.

That is so cool! I've heard you could train a cat to do that, but I've never attempted it and never known anyone who has. I think it would be great, and maybe Thai should have known halliecat - she actually flushes the toilet (but doesn't use it first). :D

One day we saw her up there and she kept on doing it. (I still miss her)

Yes Hallie is very good at flushing! Maybe Thai could teach Hallie how to use the toilet and Hallie could teach Thai to flush! Now that would be fun!:D

My RB cat Krinkles used to do it. I don't know how he learned, but he did! :) It was always interesting to hear the *tinkles* when everyone in the family was sitting in the living room, and we knew there shouldn't be anyone in the bathroom!! I would go check and say, "it's just Krinkles" and we would all nod and let him finish :D

We would ask "wheres Thai?" then we would hear her in the bathroom! they are now at the RB showing off!;) ;)

I've often thought that, but then envision a late-night stumble for the human regularly scheduled 3am visit....and find onesself sitting on an extra furry toilet seat.

As territorial as Ritz is, I don't think we would ever get our own "business" done....knowing her, we would be relegated to the litter box! hee heea:rolleyes:

Our RB Naomi used to do that. And I remember the first time she did it :) I heard the sound of ... *well, you know, the sound* and I thought that someone didn't close the door! Then, I realized everyone was watching tv, right in front of me. Btw, they thought that was me :D Then, I walked by the bathroom, opened the door and here she is with that look on her face "Do you mind? I am busy!"

Thai had the same "Don't bother me, I'm busy" look when I came in, too! If I can find the picture of her doing it, I'll post it!!;) ;)

David,
Can you bring your cat to my house and teach my two how to use the potty?
Wait.. Shadow is currently staying in the bathroom sing...so after your cat uses the pottyshe'll have to use another bathroom to wash up. :p

Blessings,

I had her put to sleep 8-23-03. (1981-2003). She was a beautiful blue point siamese. I have posted a couple of pictures of her in cat memorial under pictures of RB kitties.

I am so very very sorry.
I had to put our Pumpkin down last April21. He has Met Liver ca. He is in the back yard. I Miss him but know that he led me to Clayton.
Pumpkin was a 20 pound big orange ball oflove. He was such an awesome baby boy and I loved him with all my heart. But I couldn't see him hurt and suffer any more.

Do you have another baby?
Blessings,
Momma Cat.. Deb

Since then, I adopted Nikki, a 14lb tuxedo cat, and Daisy, a young tortie. I adopted them from the cat rescue organization I volunteer with . (neither of which can use the toilet) lol

I really had my doubts that a cat could actually use a humans toilet until I checked out a website that has a product designed to help a kitty do her business.http://www.catseat.com/index2.html is the link I used to check out this product that can train a cat to use the toilet. I'm curious if any forum members use this product for their cat. It would seem to save money by not buying litter, but would not be worth a dime unless the cat would use it.
