Ellie, we do love stories like yours - you are totally loved, obviously appreciated for just being you. Some people shy away from adopting an adult cat, but when you really needed a home, your family answered your kitty prayers - good for you! We give your family paw applause and you total catgratulations on being today's most purrrrfect Cat of the Day!

We tried to go see more photos of you, but couldn't gain access...will try again later, we'd love to see more of you!

Your darling face just jumps right out of the monitor. Look at those eyes - never missing anything - and that adorable spot on your chin makes you even cuter.

Congratulations Ellie - and thanks to your humans for letting us into your life for a day.

That's a very sweet looking kitty. Her face just seems to match her description. Like Bari says, she's very lucky to have gotten a new happy home after her other was lost. A "grandiose" belly? That's how I will start describing my kitties now, instead of calling them "tuna tubs". Good luck.

Mew, Hi Ellie -- another lovely calico kitty, just like moi -- Sasha The Queen. My KatMa visited your website and left a message in your guestbook.

Have a fab day celebrating being our Leap Year Cat of the Day. This happens only once every four years!

Mew, your purr~sons are a good looking couple. My KatMa sends them congratulations and may they live a long, happy life together as Mr & Mrs! It is fabulous that both you and I successfully adopted our purr~ents when were already grown-up kitties! My KatMa said every cat is welcome in her heart and home. Only problem for my KatMa is I get totally bonkers if another cat even walks on my property!

KatMa is posting a picture of me so you can see how cute I am! Click below to view:

Good Afternoon beautiful Ellie! What a lovely calico young miss you are!:) You look so precious posing for us in your basket! And I have to tell you Ellie, Cindy Crawford's got nothing on your captivating beauty mark!

I'm sure your first Mommy was very sad when she had to say goodbye to you. But I'm sure she finds great comfort in knowing that you are so very loved and cherished by your new family! Every kitty deserves a home such as yours, one filled with love, baskets full of ribbons and bows and an endless suppy of belly rubs!:) Congratulations to you sweet, sweet Ellie, our beautiful and very special Leap Year Sunday Cat of the Day!:) Enjoy your well earned day in the spotlight, sweetheart! Hugs and purrs to you from Sandra, Mr. B and Oliver!:)

You are a very beautiful kitty! and it sounds as though you were very lucky to be adopted by your new family. It would be so nice if you were able to go visit your former 'momma' in her nursing home...I think the connection between animals and people is one of the most healing things we have. I'm sure she rests easily though knowing you are in such a good home now. *BELLY RUB for the COTD!* Yayyyyy!!!:D

nibblets said it correctly: your first lady who is in the nursing home is so lucky to have her mind at ease because she knows you are loved. Your new purr~ents have taken over your guardianship and your first momma must be so happy.

My very own Grandma (KatMa's late mother) had two darlings; one sweet calico girl named Missy and a handsome tuxedo boy named Bunny. When my Grandma went to live in a nursing home it was very, very important that her darlings live together with another loving family. Thankfully, that is what happened.

The first year my Grandma was in the nursing home Missy & Bunny did visit. However, the kitties got upset travelling and my Grandma said she didn't want her lovies upset. So we had lots of photos of them in her room and Grandma was happy hearing about how loved they were and how well they were doing.

Your new purr~ents have given the gift of peace of mind to your first mommie, just like the good folks who took Missy & Bunny for my Grandma.

People who care that much about others make very, very good purr~ents. Kudos to your new family.

Hello beautiful Ellie! I went to your website and you do look like a big girl. Your parents were wonderful to adopt you when your first mom had to go to the nursing home. Before I retired, I was a social worker at a nursing home and one of the saddest parts of the job was hearing the residents talk about their pets they had to leave behind. The woman must feel more at ease knowing Ellie is well taken care of. I hope Ellie has many more years with the family who loves her so much.

Hello beautiful Ellie! What a sweet, pretty and good natured little girl you are, with your adorable white fur, little spot on your chin and your beautiful round eyes.

You've done very well in finding a good home where you are properly appreciated for the angel that you are. :)

Congratulations on being our very special 29 February Cat of the Day!! :D

Ellie, you are so pretty with the most adorable brown patches on your nose and under your mouth. I see from your web page that your mommy’s students helped name you. Your first mommy was so good to find you a special new home when she had to leave you to go into the nursing home. I can tell that you are a happy and well loved kitty and yes, I would love to pet your belly too. Congratulations on being our special Leap Year Cat of the Day and yes, I signed your guestbook too.
