Mobius went back for a checkup and the infection flared up again. The vet put her on liquid Baytril, which she doesn't tolerate. I'm not sure if it's because it's so bitter and activating her gag reflex, or if it's a true intolerance. I'm going to get some of the dreaded pills and try those.

Here's a pic of Moby after her sir jury. The pink bandage on her left leg did not last 24 hours.:p

Moby has had two doses of Baytril, half a pill each, embedded in kitty treats. I "primed" her by feeding her some tuna treats, to first see if she'd like them. Then a little while later, I stuffed the half a pill into one. Treats used to be softer and easier to form around pills when Smokey the Elder was still alive!

Anyway, the intolerance was because of the flavor of the emulsion, I think. Nasty pink stuff.:p

I hope Moby continues to take her pills so she can get well again! I don't blame her for removing that bright pink bandage. It clashed with her beautiful outfit.;)

Other things you can put pills in: small pieces of cheese, a little liver pate. We even made slots in pieces of wet cat food and hid pills in there.

I have said before that Whiskas should make extra delicious treats you can open and close for putting pills in them:D

Hope Moby is ok soon:)

Maybe I should formulate and patent special pill-hiding treats!

Anyway, I've now had to resort to pilling MOby the regular way, but she's not TOO bad about it. I cut the pills into quarters so they are small, then down the hatch. The stupid tuna treats dry out too much.

Years ago someone made liver flavored kitty treats. I was able to hide the flavor of Tribrissen, which is THE WORST!! I wonder if I can use d*g treats.;) :p
