hello all! rat & i are new

Hey, everyone. I'm not new to pet talk, but, this is my first post on pet general. I have a cat and a dog, too, so, I have been posting there. :) My boyfriend has a ball python named Monty and I have a hairless rat named Luli. Here's a photo of Luli.

I originally had a hairless girl named Gwynnie, and, then, got Luli. Gwynnie passed, though, and, I never got Luli another girlfriend. I feel like it's been so long now, that adding another would be almost too much. Do you think she'd be alright, after over a year? I could get a bigger cage and another hairless girl if I thought Luli wouldn't be upset by it.

I honestly don't know how old she is....probably about two now. I got her in spring/summer of 2002.

I don't think she'd really like another friend if it's been that long. My rat, Frisco, didn't have a friend for about 3 1/2 months, and as soon as I got my other rat he hated him, and he still does. :( He wants to eat him lol.

That's what I was afraid of. I didn't think about getting another rat when Gwynnie died, and, when I finally started thinking it wouldn't be such a bad idea, I thought it might be too late as far as Luli liking a new companion. I take her out every day and she sits with me at the computer and when I do housechores. :) She swats at the kitten and at the puppy from inside her cage, too. She's funny. I don't think I'll get any more small animals when Luli leaves me, though. Not for awhile anyway. If anything, I'll get fish again. They're cool. I already have a hard time giving all the little ones the attention they deserve. :) I never play with the hamster I have, just because he has never been pleasant. I figure they're generally loners anyway, so, i just feed him and clean his cage and give him water. :) He is cute, though. And, I have a kitten and a puppy, as I stated...and, my boyfriend has a ball python. So, we're full! :)

Thank you! She is the sweetest little thing. I love her bottom lip in the photo. :)
