I got a new adult female leopard gecko today from a co-worker. It just so happened that she knows I keep reptiles, and her daughter had this gecko for years, but recently has not bothered to take care of it and lost interest. So, she gave it to someone she knew would take good care of it. Me.

She's a bit skittish because she's never been handled all that well, from what I can gather. She lost her tail when she was younger from what I can only assume to be rough handling/treatment, and the regenerated tail is nubby, hence her name.

I may rename her, I don't know, but my first order of business is purchasing her a new cage that's like the ones I have for my other three geckos, since I lost Takara this past weekend.

Congratulations! Nubs is so lucky to have found you! Any chance of pics?

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Takara:( I have a feeling it was meant to be that Nubs came to you at this time. {{{HUGS}}}

I do in fact have a couple of pictures of her.

I've renamed her though - her new name is Inochi, which means "Life" in Japanese.
