Tuscany's Intro (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40359&highlight=tuscany)

He has not been with me for a few weeks because he had surgery on his eye. One of his eyes had a turned under eyelid, probably what cause the majority of the damage to his cornea.
He is doing fine and is due to come backl to me soon.
Check him out now, he actually OPENS his eyes!!

( by the way, the girls call him Dougie, it was the director Joyce who renamed him Tuscany)

God is keeping a watchful "eye" on little Dougie. So glad to hear the good news Jen. You must be relieved. Looking forward to seeing more pictures.

Oh Jen, what wonderful news! I suppose this means he will be able to SEE out of this eye!!! Is his eye blue from birth, or is this from the infection / surgery as well?

Can't wait to hear and see more of Tuscany / Dougie !:)

Sounds like the same surgery Daisy had on her eyes in December. I'm glad he's coming back to you and wish you all the best in finding him a home!

The vet thinks he has some sight in that eye, but the scaring will stay. The eyelashes rubbing on the cornea combined with infections and NO ONE to care for him caused permanent damage.
But he gets along well, he'd be the perfect addition to ANY household, I mean ANY household. Nothing bothers this boy.
He seems to be arthritic though, so he may be older than first expected. But I'd take him in 1 milli-second!!! if I was not at 15.

I remember Tuscany/Dougie!! I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him!! I know I have a thing for all cats but there is something about the orange and white that just seems to draw me. Maybe its because most of them are friendly or maybe its because it reminds me of Leroy. No matter! I just love Tuscany/Dougie and I'm so glad the surgery will at least stop further damage. I bet he can't wait to come back home to you Jen. Poor little fellow.
I would really like to see some more pictures of this sweetheart when he comes home. PLEASE!!!:D :D :D :D http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif
