Hubby bought me a dozen red roses and I have them in a vase. Thumper and Butterscotch have always left flowers like this alone.
NOT Skinny... He dragged 1 poor rose across the room like a prize. Teeth marks or so gentle in the peddles and also left a trail of red peddles on the floor.
Guess the flowers are going in the basement for tonight while we sleep :(
And now there at 11 roses....

:D My RB Goldie used to love to nibble on flower petals too. So sweet!

Most cats think flowers are food. We had a cat when I was a kid that loved to munch on Carnation buds. My sister couldn't understand why her flowers never bloomed and the buds were always mis-shapen then she saw our cat chomping on them. She rarely took the petals off the roses but spent her mornings going from flower to flower sniffing each one. We jokingly called her Ferdinand after the bull who loved to smell all the flowers (todos las flores)

Bob will sniff and nibble flowers when we have them.
I actually thought Bob was sick once because he had yellow stuff all over his nose. It turns out that he was sniffing the star gazer lillys that we had. It did scare me for a couple of minutes though.:)

The remaining 11 roses are now safely sitting on top of the washing machine down in the basement. The dragged rose is in a glass full of water placed in the icebox for safe keeping.

No flowers here , but the Cats are getting curious about the Cat Nip Kit , that Edwina sent to her lover , JJJ 3 , the Canadian Cat Crooner. I had to put it , on a top shelf , but the noses are getting closer!

T & P don't bother the flowers, but Peanut likes those little bitty white things they add to fill out the arrangement (can't remember what that's called). I don't worry about the flowers, but I worry about the vase ending up on the floor if she decides to pull on these white things.
And I agree, Skinny says why does mommy deserve 12 and I get none? ;) :D

Oh Skinny you nawtee kitty you. Were you jealous that mommy got flowers and you didn't, so you had to help yourself. I hope it was worth it.:D
My RB cat, Captain had a strange thing for RED flowers. Whenever I had an arrangement of flowers in different colors, he would only nibble on the red ones. Red roses, I found out the hard way, had to be put up high where he couldn't get to them.

LOL!!! Did he look like a little Zorro? He was only trying to give one to mommy himself! And 11 roses are a whole lot better than no roses!
I was working on a job this week and the client wanted some silk flower arrangements, so I brought home a ton of sliks flowers and laid them out on the floor.... I had two very enthusiastic florists helping me. They approved on how realistic the silks were!
Grant would surprise me with flowers, but since I still have flower arrangements decorating every spare space in our living room, why bother?:) (But I guess I sholld be jealous becausea few of his students gave him a pink carnation:D )

I didn't see if he was a "zoro" hero or not since by time I discovered the mess he was no where in sight. :D
Happy Valentines Day, Skinny, here's a Valentine's flower from me so you don't have to filch your mummie's! -----<---({
Checkers chews on roses in vases, so if we don't watch them we'll find them shredded and drooping. We use a really heavy vase so no tip-over worries. Also, he never messes with a few flowers in the kitchen window--just the rose vase.

Skinny says thanks :) He tried to leap up on to the dresser tonight where I had placed the flowers. On a lower dresser that was next to where flowers were placed, was his spring board.. a picture frame went crashing to the floor (luckly didn't break). So off to the basement they went again for the night. :p
