Some of you will know I was very unwell recently, and assumed it was my Gall Bladder due to symptons and that I had been told previously I may have had an imflamed Gall Bladder at one stage.
Well to cut a long story short I had one week ok and then it all started up again, and I just could not take it anymore and off I went to the Doctor, she believes I have an Inflamed Oesophagus, due to reflux, I feel somewhat relieved as this can be treated, so I have one month supply of Somac to try, if not better then I will require further investigation, So keep your fingers crossed.
I don't know why this never crossed my mind before as my mother has this and has been on Losec for some time now with excellent results.
It is great to have my mind at ease now, and I am hoping this will be the end of my problems, once again thanks for listening and all the advice and help from everyone that I have had.:)

That great news, Carole! I glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious and something more easily treated! Paws crossed that the medication does the trick! Whew!:)

Carole, I had the same problem. I can't remember the medicine I took, but after I took it for awhile and now I hardly have any flareup of it at all. When I do, I just start on that medicine again.
It was so bad, it kept me up of a night. Whew! I hated that!
I hope you get to feeling better now, with the medication, you should start feeling better in awhile.

Well,
we still have to charge you for all the PT consultations...;)
It may be your pyloric valve....that's the valve that shuts off your stomach-it keeps the gastric 'juices' from coming back up...
It sure sounded like A GB problem...
But then again, you asked people whose expertise is pets....So we went with the obvious.
Glad to hear you did see the doctor and it wasn't anything major.

THANKS everyone, Aww come on Richard don't you guy's just do the consultation bit for love, sure hope so or I will be stoney broke lol.
Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the medication to kick in, I have taken my pill this morning after cereal and fruit for breakfast, and I don't feel so great at the moment, I guess it takes time, there goes that impatient quality of mine again.
Gosh I have just read on the internet all the side effects of Somac, sure hope I donot get them, there are so many and not so good ones either, hot flushes(already have those) swelling of face, upset stomach etc etc, (thought it was supposed to ease my stomach pain) oh well have to feel positive about it all eh?
Thanks for putting up with my moaning and groaning, YOURE ALL THE BEST,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
