...At least I think it is what Hallie has. She has sores under her chin and on her side...I'm worried. She seems to be her usual self otherwise.
She has an appointment at the vet later today.:(

I would have said that if it was just under the chin that is could be kitty acne. Mine had that once and is very treatable.
However, I do not know what other areas that it can be on. When you say sides do you mean the side of his face or head body?
If it is ringworm or acne, both are treatable. Just one of them you have to work at alot longer.
I wish I had some good advice on ringworm. If I remember correctly it can be passed to other cats via contact, so if you have more then one I would keep Hallie seperated until you talk to the vet. You know have heard most of my knowledge on this subject.:)
Good luck and let us know how things turn out at the vet. Holding good thoughts for the best outcome.

Ringworm isn't usually accompanied by sores, so it's a good idea that you're taking Hallie to the vet.
You can do a search for ringworm and plenty of threads will come up because several of us have fought that battle!
Good luck with the vet visit and please let us know how it goes :)

We have been to the vet...Hallie was very naughty (I don't think she liked having her temp taken} and everyone heard about it!:) The vet said she had an allergic reacton--to what I don't know. She got a shot and cortisone so she wouldn't scratch so much (that is why she had sores). Some were on her side near her belly and she has really taken a lot of the hair off.
She should heal up nicely per the vet. I clipped her nails to help out. Right now she is a little subdued (which is not a bad thing!) and is extremely interested on what is on the screen!
Thanks for your help! Knew I could depend on you for an answer!;)

Will probably not be so easy to find out to what she's reacting allergic, good luck with that!
I hope she's feeling better soon, a speedy recovery to Hallie!
