She's an 11yr old that was abducted from Sarasota FL around 6:15 tonight. There is a suspect on camera leading her away so at least they have a little to go on. Thank goodness the car wash she was near had that surveillance system. Please pray that she isn't harmed.

Oh no... Just why are people so stupid to do things like that?
I hope Carlie will return safe to her family.
Do you know this little girl personally?

I don't know her. They were possibly thinking she might have been going to meet him but the police have looked at the tape a lot and they say she's in danger because he's grabbing her wrist. Even if she was going to meet him, she's only 11 and doesn't know everything yet. Although, she should know not to meet strangers. I'll be glad to hear the rest of the story and hopefully it will have a happy ending.

I've been following this story on the news.
I saw her mother on CNN this morning--it was heartbreaking--what a horrible thing to have to go through.
I just read that they have a suspect, though, I'm praying that they find her safe and soon.

This is a mother's worse nightmare.
I hope and pray they find Carlie soon, safe and unharmed.
When I saw the video on t.v., it gave me the shivers.

Gosh kidnappings are amongst my most despised things in the world. I *hate* it. I hate kidnappers. I hate kidnappings. How anyone could do something like that to someone's child is beyond my understanding. I can only hope and pray this girl makes it back home to her family safely. :(

There is a suspect in custody but he's not saying a word so no one knows if she's safe or not. Here's the story and a pic of the scum.

Very sad to announce that her body was found near a church in Sarasota area. The scum that did it isn't saying a word. And his attorney is no better than him. I hope he rots in hell. And worse is, he probably won't even get the death penalty, we'll probably have to pay to keep that bas**** alive for a life sentence. It just isn't right.
I just heard the news on Good Morning America and immediately tears ran down my face. I was so much hoping she would be found alive as Elizabeth Smart was. I hope this guy gets fried (or whatever the death penalty is in Florida!)

I heard this too. I was watching it when I was watching school delays. That is so sad, she was only 11. People like that guy makes me angry. My sympathy goes out to Carlie's family. :(

I had a good idea while at work. Our shift is going to get a card and send it to care of the sheriff's office for the family. If you want the address, I can post it here.

I just barely got online and saw this on the MSN news window. I am so sad. I knew last night, after they said he wasn't cooperating that he had killed her. It makes me so angry and so very sad. She was such a beautiful young lady. She had to have been so scared, I just can't believe what she went through. :( :( :(

This is a mothers worst nightmare come true. Poor little girl, I hope she didn't suffer much, but there is no telling what the scum done to her. I just feel so sorry for her mother and daddy, they have got so much hell to go through now because of this sick no good piece of rubbish that took their daughter and murdered her. I hope if he is not executed, he has to stay in a very bad prison for the rest of his life, where he will be tormented by other prisoners for what he has done to this innocent child. May he burn in hell!!
This story is gut wrenching. When I saw the tape of him taking her on the news, I was terrified but filled with hope. Then when I heard they found her body, I was crushed. I can't stop crying over this. I feel so much more connected to the story since I actually saw the abduction taking place. What a horror. The poor parents will probably have that video clip stuck in their heads for the rest of their lives :( Truly horrible and tragic :(

Wow. :( To those of us who have kids...it really makes you want to give them a big hug.
Very sad, indeed. :(
Tonight on our local news there was a story about a young girl who lives maybe 1/2 hr. from here. She was also walking along a street that she had probably walked on hundreds of times. She said a man approached her and asked her if she would go with him and he'd give her $5.00. She was becoming upset and thankfully two passersby noticed and asked the guy what was going on, and with their help he was apprehended. The girl's mother was on the news saying how grateful she was that her daughter did not end up like Carlie.
I agree with someone who posted earlier. Her poor parents' last views of their daughter on that video will haunt them to their graves. This is beyond sad. :( :(

I cried watching all of the videos on CNN. I haven't seen anything aobut it on TV since I don't even watch TV.
What got me most is her mother crying and pleading for her daughter to return home safe. :( :(

I just feel sick with horror at what some people are capable of doing to others. I can't even begin to imagine the living hell that her family must be going through. There are just no words... no words.
