I am really scared. I have completely lost Macy's trust for the time being.. and it is past my bed time so i got to keep it short.

Eric (my husband) says I am not making good enough progress and no one will want the scooter bugs if they get any older so he has nagged me into bringing them inside..

*which is what i wanted to do from the very beginnign*

BUT ANYWAYS....

I have Sharky and Lady Fuzz in the spare bedroom .. and they are pretty scared... but i have a feeling i will start to make even better progress with them inside..

actually I KNOW Lady Fuzz is ready to be homed... so I need to call and see if the Shelter has room for her...

*crying* i am reallllly gonna miss these kitties once they are gone...

but when I trapped Sharkey and shut her in the carrier she started freaking out ... and now Macy won't come near me....

but believe it or not.. Lady Fuzz walked right in the carrier too... and freaked out.. and now Macy won't even come out of hiding...

*sighs*... well at lest Tinky is not running around like a MAD KAT...

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME... :(

You are in my prayers. Hang in there.

When we first trapped our little ferrals in the house they also went berserk and hid behind furniture for a few days. You've already made so much progress in gaining the kittens trust though, hopefully that will continue.

Wishing you all the very best with Macy. I hope you manage to help her.

Best of luck!!!!!!!!! Macy's afraid for her babies. She might think about moving them, so I'd get the rest quickly. Just remember that it is the RIGHT thing to do. Macy will trust again :).

When Killearn Kitties let me have 2 of her feral kitties (RB Jock and Bonnie) they hid behind the sofa for weeks and would only come out at night. It took months of constant playing and treats before we finally gained their trust. Then my RB Jock became the biggest sook you can ever imagine, time and patience thats all whoever takes them in needs !! You don't even need experience as I had never been owned by cats before and even though I say so myself we did a grand job !!!

I'm glad the scooter bugs are moving in and fear not... Macy will trust you again. She's just confused right now. :) Good luck!

You are doing a great thing, Sara. I know its hard when they get scared...that stuff breaks my heart too...but you are ultimately doing the best thing for them all.

Now...I can't wait for pictures of them inside. :)

It will all be fine! This is the hardest part of all! They finally start trusting you and look what you do!!! You take them away from their safe place and their momma!!! I know that is how you feel, BUT if they were still outside momma would be going away for longer and longer periods of time until she just didn't come back anymore. All kitties, and especially the wild ones are afraid of anything new. Since they know you it won't take them that long to settle down and find great adventures in their new space!!
What is your plan with Macy? Are you bringing her in for awhile to? I know you are going to get her spayed but what about after that?

Oh my Sara! When I first read this I thought you meant that Eric had agreed to keep them all!!!

I like how he had to nag you to bring them in - good work. ;) :D

I'm so glad you're bringing them in to socialize them faster. So much easier for you, but I sure hope Tinky doesn't start freaking out over it all. 'Course it is only temporary and she has freaked out before and gotten over it, but I just hope it doesn't stress her too bad.

And yes, Macy will trust you again, you just have to have patience and be calm like you've always been and she'll realize you're not trying to harm her or her kittens.

Good luck, and I, too, can't wait for inside pics! :D

Keep up the good work! :D

I think it is wonderful that you have shown love and concern for these kitties, and are caring for them. Good Luck! I will keep you in my prayers.

TINKY IS BEING AN ANGEL!!!!

Last night i brought kitten number three (a fluffy :D) in and Tinky has yet to growl at Jupter or act crazy in any way!!!.... I am so proud of my Alpha girl!!!!!!
She is being cute as ever!!!

Macy is out and trusting me again... it sure is weird going out into the garage and seeing only 3 kittens..

Sharky and Lady Fuzz are settling in better but i can tell they are still a little scared...

When i brought the fluffy in last night i held him real close and pet him and he hissed and hissed.. ( IT WAS SOOO CUTE)... then i put him on the futon (sp) with Sharky and Lady Fuzz and got some serious AIRPLANE EAR ATTITUDE from him... I could have just hugged him to pieces...

I still have three more to catch.. but i am feeling better about the whole situation since Tinky is being such a GOOD GIRL!!!..

We are having revival at church this week but I WILL TRY REAL HARD to make sure I get some INSIDE pictures of the scooter bugs!!!

thanks everybody for your support and good wishes!!

What a good girl you are Tinky. Headbumpies to you sweetie.
I was so glad to read that you decided to bring them inside Sara.
This way they will be able to socialize better. It will take time, but it will be worth it in the end.
Isn't it so cute when they hiss at you when they are that small.
I'm glad Macy is trusting you again, I know you were worried about that.
Give your hubby a great big hug from us, for allowing you to bring them in the house.
Can't wait to see pictures of the little lovebugs.:)
Good luck with them.

I'm so glad things are going good with Tinky!!! How wonderful! At least now the babies will understand what living inside is like and it will certainly help them when they get adopted. You are doing a wonderful job with them!!!
Can't wait for pics! Hissing, Airplane eared babies are so funny!!

Captive #4 moved in last night

I trapped Purry head last night... and got bitten by the fluffy i caught yesterday...

My crazy husband keeps going in the room and trying to pick them up.. (which should be a good thing) but he goes in there like Rambo, covered in head to toe in kitten gear.. and for some reason makes them all hissy and crazy when he tries to pick them up... soooooooooo when I tried to pick up f. fluffy (feral fluffy ;) ) he bit me... oh well.....

but last night after church i went in and picked up f. fluffy and he didn't hiss or anything... but did give me some more AIRPLANE EAR ATTITUDE.. silly boy..

SORRY NO PICTURES....:(

i will try and get some today though... BUT CHEER UP..;) now there are four inside kittens to take pictures of!!!!!!:p

OH YEAH

I guess i spoke too soon in my last post.. Tinky is acting up again.. BUT PROBLEM SOLVED.. i put a blanket at the bottom of the door so no smells can bother QUEEN TINKY.. (i love my little nawtee girl):)

Your husband sounds like mine. He has the best intentions but he moves to fast for the cats. He gets down on his knees and *KATHUNK* the house vibrates!! He reaches for them to fast and he does it head on. No matter how many times I've tried to tell him to reach out slowly and don't approach them head on he still does it. He wonders why most of the cats are nervous around him!!!
On a good note....He does try and it sounds like your hubby is getting really involved too. I think that is great!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif

Hang on Queen Tinky!! You keep being a good girl!! Meowmie will do her best to keep that nasty old feral kitty smell away from your royal nose!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/wink.gif

Are you going to move Macy in side, too?

Well it depends..

More than likely we will to give her an opportunity to get used to living inside a house... ...:)
