I could go on all night....

Nelson
Dog
German Wirehaired Pointer Mix

Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
I.D: 2375

Notes: Nelson is thin and needs a bath and grooming and good food. We think he is about 6 yrs old. He is very gentle and easy going and does not do a lot of running around. He enjoys the company of people and loves to be patted and scratched. He can go to his new home after he is neutered 1/28. He would need confinement and supervision until he knows your rules and has lived with you for awhile. He seems very willing to please.

**Digby is doing great in his foster home. He is learning house manners and his foster mom thinks that he is going to be a wonderful family dog. He is learning basic obedience and is proving to be very smart. He needs to find his forever family ASAP! He will need a home where someone is around most of the time and that will continue to work with him. Please email us today if you can provide Digby with the home that he desperately needs....
**Maybe *you* are the one---I keep waiting, but the right people haven't found me yet. I was rescued from a shelter when I was just a puppy, and all my brothers and sisters were adopted...except me. I can't figure it out, and neither can the people who take care of me. I'm a great guy! Seriously, I am the all-American dog, ready for a lifetime of loyalty to my family. I have about a thousand playtimes built up in me, but I look forward to finally settling down with people who love me, and growing old over the years with you, forever thankful that you put your time and energy into teaching me security and love and whatever other stuff I don't know about houses and families yet. I'm not stupid---it's just that nobody has taught me so far. I am ready to learn! And talk about muscles; I am big and strong! I will probably run around like a nut for a while to get all this energy out, because I've lived in a kennel for 8 eight whole months. I don't let it get me down---that's not my style---but I'm hoping maybe you are the one to show me my very first, and last, real home. *PLEASE read our homepage*****

Jane has been at the City of Buffalo Animal shelter since October. I don't know why she hasn't caught anyone's eye, because she is just a lovely, sweet dog. Saturday one of the volunteers had her out in the reception area and she just lay at her feet chewing on a rawhide - totally mellow.

We are working with basic obedience with her and she now knows SIT, DOWN and COME. She can difficult to walk, but most of it is just exhuberance at being out of the kennels. If you ask her to WAIT, she will come back to and sit at your feet.

She shows a little dog on dog aggression in her kennel, so she would probably be best as an only dog. I am not sure it couldn't be overcome - but unfortunately we don't really have the space to work on it.

When you approach her kennel she sits quietly and just leans against the kennel for scratches. If I was looking for a new best friend, she would definitely be the one.
