It's DANG cold here, what are you doing?

Highs in the single digits today and snow snow snow. Feels like summer compared to yesterdays when highs were below zero and windchills were some obscene number I won't even type.

So what's the remedy?

I put on some loud Jimmy Buffett on my desk stereo. Havana DayDreaming...

We are warm today to but expecting more snow and those disgusting singles again this weekend into next week.
i have to go today and get things done so I can stay in bed next week to keep warm.

We've been warned that that UK is due for a VERY COLD week ahead - blizzards and such! Agghhhhhh!! The first cold snap and this country usually comes to a standstill. Such Fun:eek:

giggle, our cold snap finally broke! Back up to -20C! (-4F) It's been -40 for weeks (same in both F and C). I'm loving it. The dogs are happy and active and the cold keeps the idiots with loose dogs at home! No problems with loose dogs jumping into my dog team lately!

Yeah, you guys from waaaaayyy up nort der are a little loony, but I can understand it. Down here in the lower 48 we're just so spoiled. ;)

I'm taking an online class and one of the ladies is from Alaska - don't remember exactly where, so I've been hearing about the temps up there. She had to fly to Oklahoma to see her mother and couldn't believe the 30 degree temps. She had to take her coat off she said.

It's all relative I guess. :D

I'd literally freeze into one solid block!!!!!!!!! We are in the single digits to teens right now and I am praying for warmth!!!!! I just want to be warm again.

Yep, it is freezing cold right now in Wisconsin. I think I might run out to the barn and make sure the milk in Bessie's udders hasn't frozen! :p We got about 7 inches of snow today on top of the exhisting 4 inches.

The last two winters have been very mild, so this year is hitting us rather hard, because we have adapted to the past mild winters- at least I have. We haven't had these kind of temperatures since 2000- we got 49.8 inches of snow, and it didn't fully melt until the middle of April!!! :eek:

Anyone down south wanna let me sleep over *cough KayAnn*?????? PLEASE!?!?

Wow Moose I did not realise Florida was so warm, what is it like in summer though? you have almost the same temp as here In our NZ Summer , its around 80 degrees F here today, thats a bit hot for me, but most others enjoy it. beautiful sunshine everywhere, great as we just had 3 days of rain, however our farmers are desperate for rain especially in the sth Island.
