What a great story! And what a great picture, so stoic and serious looking. Great colors also! How lucky you are to have found people that care so much about cats! :D Hugs to you sweet kitty and congrats on being COTD!!

Oh Lurch, what a great story about you! I am sure you have re-paid your new family for having taken you in when they did. You are so lucky - and so are they! I hope the rest of your kitty life is filled with adventure and good health and that your family (furry and no-so-furry) enjoy you to the fullest! You seem like quite the silly kitty too! Congratulations for being The Cat of The Day! You are LUCKY, FOR SURE! ;) ;) ;) :D :D

What a terrific cat of the day you make, sweet Lurch! I'm so glad your folks found you when they did, being needful of the appropriate attention they've so lovingly given you. You remind me of my brother's cat Moggie, who may also have a congenital problem like yours, or might have been abused. She's very small and walks like she's wearing gravity boots. She doesn't wobble, but almost always misses her mark when she jumps, sometimes overshooting by about 6 inches! Things that make her all the more endearing, like you :) I'm glad you have other kitties to watch over you too. Congratulations Lurch, you are indeed a gorgeous and heart-warming "God's Kitty"! :D By the way, did you get into the caramel? :)

Lurch, your picture says it all. Such strength, wisdom, steely determination. It took my breath away; especially after I read your biography. At the kennel where I work, our mascot kitty, Cruiser, also suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia. I know, as I watch him every day, what courage and determination it takes to overcome what others may see as a handicap. But like you, Cruiser does not let it get him down, or stop him from making the most of his life, enjoying every moment to the max! Lurch, you came into your family's life during the hardest of times. You eased their pain, filled their hearts with love, and showed by example, how precious each and every day is. You are so much more than a companion Lurch. You are a teacher, a healer and a hero :) Congratulations to you Lurch. You are an incredibly deserving, very beautiful, courageous and loving Cat of the Day!! It was an honor to meet you Lurch!

Lurch is wonderful! How many of us humans can learn from his example how to make the best of whatever we have been given or what we have not been given with what we have. Sweet fellow who has had a good home, encouragement, and help from his pet companions too.
It makes my day sunny to read about Lurch.

Lurch!!! I Love you! You are such a special kitty. There is nothing I can add that everyone else has not already said, since I got on here so late today.
Treybabe, you were correct about Lurch making the day sunny- especially since it is such a gray, rainy day here in Seattle (and the rest of P. Sound).
Congrats to you beautiful Lurch for being our COTD this Sunday- you are a gift from God!

Lurch has captured my heart! He's beautiful and very fortunate, too. My hat is off to his rescuers for giving him such a wonderful life. Stories like this give me hope.

Lurch, I am only just now catching up on the honored cats for the past week. What a sweet baby you are, bless your little heart. I so admire all the human beans who take in these "different" kitty beans and not only love them just the same, but can see that they are so special in their own ways. Bless all the beans in your house!
