Any Shiba-Inu fanciers or owners. I found this dog that I think might have some Shiba in it. I was just curious as to what kind of bark these guys have. He has this really raspy bark and I know bulldogs, Shar-Peis, and Pugs can have raspy barks, but what about Shibas? He walks on his toes too. Is that a Shiba trait or bulldog?

Kito does not have a raspy bark at all. He has a high-pitched yodel, when he really wants to get my attention, or a low gruff when he hears something outside (usually the threatening leaf blowing by the door).
He does walk on his toes a little though--kinda like a little ballerina:p
Do you have a picture????

I might be wrong but isn't this breed the smaller cousin to the Jindo?

They do resemble the Jindo in appearance, but I don't believe they are actually "related". (I could be wrong though).
They are, however, the smaller cousin of the Akita.

My Byakko also has a high pitched bark, although she has many different barks I would not say low. There is the shiba scream which Byakko doesn't really use but it is ear bursting.Byakko's bark is not raspy either.I would love to see a icture.
