Hi all,
I bought this fountain and gave it to the kitties several weeks ago. (could not wait for Christmas!!) Anyway, they all totally love it!! Emily and Eliot want it straight from the pouring source and Dylan uses the reservoir. What amazes me is the quantity that I refill each day. Can they really be consuming this much? I thought cats drank very lttle water. It does NOT leak. Perhaps there is evaporation? For the three cats, I am adding at least half a tank, or what I am guessing is about 1 1/2 - 2 cups of water! Can they drink this much?? I sure wish I had this for RB Ernie when his kidneys were failing. He could never get enough water. Anyway, it was a wonderful investment and I wish I had heard of it long ago. It is quiet and so convenient!!

Kitty endorsed and meowmie approved seal:D

I've also noticed the water disappearing faster than one would expect--but I'm pretty sure it's due to evaporation. I have a decorative fountain that the cats don't drink from, and the water level drops pretty quickly in that one as well.

I agree that it's a dandy invention--especially for cats like my Kacey who insist on running water. :D

I recently saw a thread and in it was the average amount that a kitty will drink in a day, and I can't rememeber what it was.

I have a drinkwell pet fountain and even though I live in a humid climate, I still have to fill it more then the kitties are drinking. If not my cats drink a lot of water.

I am happy to hear that they like it, my two really like ours.

I have a PetMate fountain that I bought on sale (It was on the "Clearance" table cuz it didn't have a filter...$19!! Originally $39.99)

My cats LOVE it! I have also found that I have to fill the fountain on a more than regular basis. I attribute it to the dryness in my apartment.

We actually have 3 Petmate flow waterers in the house. All the cats love them and I love them because I don't have to be refilling water bowls all over the house twice a day. We add water to them about every other day and at least once a week dump and clean and refill them. But it is sooo much easier and the cats love drinking out of them. Katie also doesn't splash the water about the house as much.

I really want to get my guys a fountain but I'm not sure if they would like it. I guess with three cats my odds are decent that at least one would like it. Guess I should just bite the bullet and buy one.

I have a drinkwell fountain and Sunny,Cirrus, and Sky loved to drink from it. Storm would drink from it occasionally but preferred the water bowl. Well I had to stop using it because a certain orange cat was having too much fun playing in it. Everyday I'd find a large puddle of water around it. I hope that some day Sunny will outgrow this problem. I also have to keep their water bowls inside of clean litterboxes because Sunny will sometimes play in this water too. BTW I was able to use the fountain for almost a year before I had to shut it down.
