My poor, poor Buddy...a former dog of the day! (http://dogoftheday.com/archive/2000/August/31.html)

I have recently started hearing a loud clicking with every step he takes. He doesn't seem to be in pain, limping, etc. But the sound is like knuckles cracking. It must be arthritis, no? He's 9 years old now, so that's what I think it is...any thoughts? ideas on what to do for him?

It hurts me to hear such an awful sound!

Thanks!

Rich

Buddy is a cutie! I would suggest taking him to the vet and see what they say. It could possibly be arthritis, but it could be something else too. I hope he feels better soon.

I'd just take him to the vet to get checked out. :)

Sometimes I get cracks coming from my joints and they go away after a few days. ;)

You should probably go to the vet to rule out a tear of the crucial ligament.

Kaedyn does this too. Sometimes he's fine, then once in a while..you hear *click, click, click* Please update us after the vet visit..I guess I'll need to take Kaedyn as well.

Glucosamine works great. They sell chewable tablets at PetsMart.
