We are going to celebrate a little early since I'm going out of town on X-mas eve to visit my family. I'm a little worried, I'll be gone for almost two weeks. They have never been alone that long, since I've moved in my new apartment the longest I have been gone is 2 days. Before when I would leave my roommate would be at home so they wouldn't get lonely. But I'll have someone check in on them everyday and they will have lots of new toys to keep them busy :).

What adorable stockings.
I had to catsit my sons cat for 2 weeks this past summer and everything went just fine. I stayed with him for about an hour or two a day and he was an only cat at the time.
At least Corkscrew and Tibby will have each other to pass the time away which I think will make things much easier. I'm sure you are going to miss them though, big time.
Hope you have a great holiday with your family.

Cute stockings! :)
Do they know what they are? Did they try to sneak into them before you put them up? My Noah tries to do that. :)

Like the stockings.:)
I bet they will be happy to get all of there presents.:D
I am sure that your little babies will be fine. You sound like me when I go on a trip. I leave like 2 pages of notes on everything that need to be done and then I also leave a schedule.:o

This year I got a little smarter, last year I bought the presents first then the stockings. Trying to hide a bag full of kitty goodies was a difficult task. Everyday I would have a new hiding spot and everynight Corkscrew would find them. This year when I brought out the stockings Corkscrew quickly got bored after he stuck his head inside and found that it was empty. But as soon as I get my next paycheck they will be full with lots of goodies :).

We have come to the conclusion that our cats had much rather be left at home with someone looking in on them when we are gone. It's kind of funny. When you board cats for a week, then bring them back home, it takes several days before they will speak to you again. If you leave them at home, when you get back, the response is,"Oh, you were gone?" The dogs, on the other hand, go to the kennel when we are gone for more than a weekend.
