Well, today I cleaned and rearranged my sewing room. It is now the boys room. I moved the boys in there so I can have the kitten room again since a litter of kittens coming. So, Tuesday I will clean the room wash the carpet. The boys made a mess, no spraying but they are messy. Ele' is a brown and white classic tabby, she carries solids and Desi (the Dad) is a solid red. So we can have tortie, patches, with or without white. boys will be red, black, or brown with or without white. Ele' is a big girl weighs just under 14 pounds and Desi is about 18 pounds. I will keep you posted and with pictures if you like. And of course pictures of the kittens.

Well, finished shampooing the carpet and cleaning the room. Tomorrow, Thursday I will put Ele' in there to get use to the room and how it is arranged and also put her favorite kitten box in there for her with fleece and Chux pads. She will start back on kitten food with Vitamins added. She looks good and getting big. The bull's eye tabby marking is really clear and looks like a ring on her sides. Well that is it for now. I am getting excited. My friend cat just had 7 kittens and 5 are torties and one a patch and the 7th she doesn't know what it is yet. Talk about your tortie-tude she will have plenty to go around.

Kittens should be here in about 2 weeks or so. Today I put Ele1 in the kitten room and she was checking it out. Sniffing and smelling the entire room. Checking out the boxes I set up. And the cages I made ready. She made sure the litter boxes worked, the water was fresh and the dry food tasted good. She tested the cat beds in there also. She was very content with the room and laid down and took a nap.

There is a patch girl, Tortie girl, Black and white, girl, a brown and low white boy, and 2 brown tabbies no white.

Well, the furbabies are 9 days old and their weight runs from 6.2 ounces to 8.2 ounces. So they are doing good. One has started to open his eyes. They pull themselves around looking for Mom when she is eating. Ele` doesn't mind me holding them. Here is a picture of one of the boys.

Ok now they are 3 weeks old. Their wight is 16.2 ounces to 12.3. ounced. They all hiss and meow. 3 are purring and they are learning to climb on the bumper pad and crawl around the area. Ele` even is away from them for at least 1/2 hour a couple times a day. They are trying to play but end up napping. What great fun to watch them. They are even washing themselves. Well, it is a good attempt at it.

Well they are 4 weeks old and doing great! They are wrestling, drinking water and eating the clay litter, (every litter that I have had here has done that.) They look like little cats. And alot of fun to watch. This is the patched girl and her name is Blaze. She has a new mommy waiting for her. She will be one very spoiled and loved kitten.

Awww...she is simply adorable! I think they are at their most cutest right now. Between 4 & 6 weeks of age. They are still such tiny babies, but like you say, they are starting to take on some of their adult characteristics, and they are such little goofballs at this age! Oh how I want an itty bitty kitty....

They are alot of fun to watch. And they now have their own pursonalities. One brown tabby boy is very laid back you can holdhim upside down and he doesn't care at all. He will just keep on purring. His brother the other brown tabby is the opposite of him. He purrs but don't turn him upside down. Here is the laid back guy.

Ele` is never happy when I have the camera out. But the kittens don't seem to mind at all. The kittens have escape their enclosure and are on the run. One is eating wet food and the others do drink water. They will be 5 weeks old and you should see them play. But of course they still go running to Mom when she calls them. They also come running when I walk in the room and say "Where are my babies" they come running and meowing in their tiny voices. This kitten's name is Porter, his new daddy will be visiting him in a couple of weeks.

Today I was laying on the floor watching the kittens play, my have they come a long way in 5 weeks. We have down 4 extra small litter boxes that I have to clean 2 X a day. And refilling the water bowl morn and night. And then the dry food and litter that is all over the floor. What a mess!!! They run in the water. in the litter and the dry food spreading it all over. But what great fun. Last week I let in Smokey Jo who is due a litter in a couple of weeks. She is doing great with the kittens. She cleans and sleeps with them. She is going to be a wonderful Mom.

Today was the first time the kittens had company. One of the new parents came to visit. I took them up the the kitten room they sat on the floor and let the kittens come check them out and the Mom also. After that I left them to play and hold the kittens. They were up there for over an hour. They came down you could see the love for that kitten in their eyes. She is now named Blaze. She is a brown patch tabby. They left a blanket with her so when she is ready to go home it will smell like all the safe and secure things she know. I love feeling I get when I see that look in a new Mom or Dad's eyes. I will miss the kitten when she leaves but I know deep in my heart she will have the best home, with lots of love. She will go to her new home between 12 and 16 weeks of age.
Here she is R. P. Cathouse's Blaze

Then last night Eric came to visit his little kitten. His kitten is a black and white male and he named him Porter. Porter is the largest kitten. And seeing Eric at 6' 4" big built young man hold that tiny kitten was wonderful the gentleness to him. He sat on the floor snuggling the kitten. So I left them there to play and snuggle. When he came down he was telling me that the kitten reached up with its tiny paw and patted his face. The look on Eric's face was priceless. When he left I knew he was right for the kitten and the kitten was right for him. So Eric left a very proud Daddy of Porter.

Today is Saturday, the 3rd set of parents just left after spending about 90 minutes with the kittens. They brought a small bear and towel to keep with Baylee till it is time he goes home. The kittens just pounce and swatted at the bear. And the towel is so that when they go home they will have the smell of their family with them. Terry and Mike took video and pictures of the kittens and mom. And Desi the dad also. They laid on the floor and sat on the floor watching and playing with the kittens and Ele`. They are very excited and can't wait to bring Baylee home. Only 5- 6 weeks more. Baylee is the Brown Classic with white. A very sweet boy.

One thing that happens when the attachments are downloading, for whatever reason the pictures are really huge while they're downloading - so I get a whole screen-full of kitten face or tiny paws in up-close and personal detail! The older ones leave about 12-16 weeks depending on everyones work schedule. With me working retail at a major department store and being the manager of the children's dept. I have off 2 days a week and they may not be weekends, but everything usually works out. Sunday I am having the kittens pictures taken for Cats USA magazine. For the Breeder Gallery. This should be fun with 6 kittens. They think they are going to be tiny kittens and not moving much. Boy are they in for a surprise!
And the younger litter now has their eyes open and can hiss. Their first sounds. And a couple are sitting up now. They will be 2 weeks Saturday. One little guy is not gaining weight like I would like him to and he will not take a bottle so I am watching him closely. One forgets how frail and delicate a newborn is. Because by 4 weeks they are running around and trying to eat. But this little guy is a fighter and he is call Mighty Mouse. You should hear him hiss! And he does nurse. So I will keep trying to feed him and pray that the best thing for him is staying here and not going to visit Mudge and Chinni at the bridge.
Thanks for listening.

Well, last night the kittens got their second rounds of vaccines. Their are almost ready to leave. In three weeks they get their final round of shots and can go home. What a sad day that will be. They have grown from looking like a big rat to fluffy big kittens. All of them with different pursonalities. They are all going to the vet for a well furbaby check up with Mom Ele`. So they will have a certificate of health to leave with. Lots of thing to do between now and then. Food list, what if list, phone numbers, nail clippings, a bath before they go, copies of the pedigrees and a package of toys, food and a CD with all the furbaby picutures on them. Well going to go and play for a while.

The Brown male #2 is D. J.

The Tortie is Misty Bella Misha
This has been a fun litter and I love watching them grow into beautifu kittens and hope to see pictures as they grow into adulthood. I will update still as they get ready to go.

Baylee is going to a couple who's children are grown. And live in So. Maryland. Misty Bella Misha is going to a couple who have boys 7 and 11 years old. She will be great with the boys she is out going and loves to play. I will miss them. The other 4 will leave next weekend but more on that later. I have talked and talked and e-mailed both new families and really like the new parents. I have gotten together they things to take with them. They are fleece that has the smell of Mom and siblings, food samples, toys, folder with vet health certificate, pedigree, pictures, CD with all pictures on it, shot record, and Mom's and Dad's health certificates. And anything else I can remember later to send with them. Oh, instructions and helpful hints to help the new baby to adapt to their new home. They are spoiled rotten now, so they are ready to go. Ele has done her job and so have I. Just one more nail clipping and that should be it.
