Ron has been sneezing alot the past day or two. He doesn't seem snotty or sick in anyother way though. He's had kennel cough when I first got him; it's nothing like that. His appetite is fine. Anyone else's cat's ever get like that?

Tonya,
Yes. My cat Mollie Rose (9 years old) is constantly sneezing and was also diagnosed with kitty asthma. I have tried every single antibiotic on the market to stop her from sneezing, but nothing helps. None of my other cats have it so I know it's not contagious. I just deal with it. She eats, uses the litterbox and is fine otherwise. I'm chalking it up to allergies.

Mishi went through a sneezing spell for a couple of days a while back. I took him to the vet and she said he had a cold - yes, our kitties get colds too. Just keep him warm and comfy (chicken soup?) and pay attention to the sneezes. Mishi laid low for a couple of days and then the cold went away. If it doesn't go away, it might be allergies. A visit to the white coats should set you at ease. Let us know what happens.

Maybe all the dust and stuff from us remodeling is getting to him. A few days ago, I posted about a few potty accidents. I blamed it on Raven because she's kind of a wierdo. But now that I'm seeing Ron act a little sickly, maybe it is him. I'll keep an eye on him, if he gets worse or doesn't get any better by Friday, I'll bring him in.

Tonya I think that is you best bet. If it is a cold then all you can really do is keep them comfy for a few days. I would probably vote for the dust from the remodel. I know that Bob take to sneezes if we dust a lot but it is usually gone after a day or two.
If it does keep up I would agree that taking him to the vet was a good bet, if nothing else just to ease your mind.:)

Hey Tonya I was just wondering if Ron was any better or if you were able to chalk it up to all the dust from the remodel.
You could have actually posted an update in another thread and I may have missed it.
Just wondering.:)

I agree it sounds like allergies too, My Lexie sneezes a lot and gets crusties in her eyes, and if outside in the trees or grass sneezes too, she is not so bad right now, probably the worst of the season is over here, I just bathe her eyes in saline solution ,when they look like they need it, and she seems to be fine.
