Merry and Pippin

Pippins full name is Peregrin Took, Merry's full name is Meridoc brandybuck.

They are rats, both are brown and white in color and they have black eyes. my ratties are fancy rats their ears are normal and not dumbo :( lol.

They have dark colored tails with a tip of white at the end :)..

They were bought at a local pet store, I believe I saved them from death lol, they were housed in pine bedding and they were being fed hamster seed mix :(.. they were also housed with their sisters :eek: all in a tiny ten gallon tank :eek:..

they love eachothers company very much and they love me too :). merry and pippin give me kisses all the time and they pee on me to show they care lmao...

They love going out of their cage to roam around my room and play :). pippin loves to popcorn around whenever he gets petted :)...

They are cute lil ratties.

not if I count all my fish lol, I only counted the tanks and there is like 30 fish in the largest tank! and 10 in another tank and 1 betta in the betta tank!

Since I also own a Desert Tortoise I will answer this. Hope you don't mind GRL. They are Endangered so they protected and you must have a permit to own one. I adopted Lucy from the Joshua Tree Tortoise Rescue while living in 29 Palms California, the ucky desert.

Lucy has free roam of our house and is actually potty trained to Linoleum, and gets out time every day during the summer, and sleeps all winter long, hybernates. You can only let them hybernate if they have been fed super good, or doing so can kill them or lead to respiratory problems.

As far as feeding, he gets a bit of food. He HAS to have grass, so tons of grass, alfalfa, timothy and orchard grass, bananas, apples, squash, red and green leaf lettuce, butter lettuce, collard greens, pears, grapes, melons, some dog food as a treat, cactus and cactus apple, carrots, cucumbers and lots of other safe tortoise food. :)



She has posted several pics of the torts in Pet General already, when they were little and oh so cute.

Lucy is hybernating right now though and won't wake up for awhile. :p But here is a pic of him sleeping. :D His name is Lucy, but he's really a boy. :o

Wow, I guess I should talk about my other pets more often. LOL

Ash, yep I have 6 desert tortoises. Frankie, is estimated to be around 25 years old and the babies are about 5. We got Frankie from a desert tortoises rescue, and the babies from a friend. We have permits for all of them. :) We do NOT feed them any store bought food, my mom's the expert on them and she said it ruins their shells.

See the little tag on the top of his shell? That's what the Fish and Game rescue sent us, so it's legal for us to have him. You probably can't see it from the picture, but he has a cracked shell.
:( The rescue said he was most like run over by a car.

My mom got these from a friend, who also has a permit to own them. The babies do not have names yet, because it is too early to tell whether they are boys or girls.

Are they good pets? The Turtles I mean? Like can you "play" with them?? Or do they just like Chill. So you keep them in your back yard? It looks like Turtle heaven to me!
