Mercedes and Meridith are 11 year old standard poodles. Their owner
boarded them when he went on vacation and then died while he was
gone. The vet/kennel had them 6 weeks and was planning euthanasia
today but they are being rescued temporarily by 4 Pets Sake.
This is a small animal rescue organization and cannot keep them very
long but just couldn't stand to see them caged for 6 weeks and PTS
without ever seeing the outdoors again. We are listing them on our
NorCal Poodle Rescue hotline but I also wanted to let this group
know about them. Of course, it is difficult to place large dogs of
that age but it is worth trying.
One is supposed to be taking thyroid meds but the vet hasn't given
them so she's loosing her coat. Both are supposed to be on Remidral
[sp?] but he also hasn't given that. Poor old girls!
