Take care.

Hi! Welcome to Pet Talk! :)
I'm owned by two dogs, but neither are wire fox terriers. I don't believe that we have any at PT, but we have a few smooth fox terreirs. :)

a breeder friend down in CA has smooth fox terriers....
I adore Wirehair Fox Terriers. I pulled one from a kill shelter once and had him for 3 months. He still has a huge place in my heart.
Everytime I see someone on the street with a WH Fox Terrier, I am sure to flag them down and gush over their dog.

If anyone is interested in a purebred Smooth Fox Terrier in the Houston, Texas area, I know of someone fostering one at the moment. He's 6 years old, neutered and his name is Jack. His original owner got him from Fox Terrier rescue, had him for 5 years then got married and had a baby. His wife was affraid Jack would hurt the baby (I don't know how that would be possible unless she put the baby on the floor with the dog) so she took him to my vet to be euthanized. My vet didn't like the idea of putting down a perfectly good dog so he contacted us. A friend is fostering him and has been for the past year. I'm not sure if she is still willing to part with him, but maybe if the perfect home comes for him she will. Anyone interested can email me.

Hello.
Glad you liked my furry friend. By the way, his name is Zeus ;)
Here's another pic for you (since you liked my first one so much)
He's very calm and easy going with other dogs; not common in his breed, but it took a lot of work.

Hello pit chic
I don't belive your friend is still looking for a new home for Jack; I'm sure, that by now, he can't live without him any more. Either way, I'll look around to see if I find the "perfect" home for him.
Don't forget to write.

I know she isn't sure if she wants to part with Jack now, but she really needs to. She does animal rescue and has a lot of dogs that aren't getting adopted very quickly. I know she takes very good care of her crew, but with the number she has they aren't all getting the individual attention that they need. If she keeps everything she rescues she won't be able to help anymore animals later. Hopefully these rescue contacts can help give her another outlet for finding Jack a new home.
Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along.
