corn is the main ingredient in pedigree and I knwoe a local breeder that feeds pedigree, how can I explain that corn is bad for dogs and cannot be digested?? Maybe a few links to sites ect.

I thought corn was OK if it wasn't the main ingredient? I guess I'll have to reeducate myself.

I guess I'm okay with buying products with a weee bit of corn in it but if it's the main ingredient (like she said), I would avoid it.

We just looked through a bunch of 50 lb bags of dog food looking for one that corn isn't one of the first few ingredients.
Purina One seems pretty good. :)
We're going to be switching to that after we get rid of the bag of Beneful.

I feed my dogs Nutro Lamb and riceno animal by product and no fillers. so I am happy with that ;).

I would never feed anything with corn in it. No animal can digest corn, not just dogs. It is just a filler with no nutritional value. Right now I feed Innova and a partial raw diet. But soon I will just feed raw. :)
