Hey Cayter!

Love looking at pics of Ozzy. I see so much of Oz in him,
especially when I saw this pic, with the crook of the foot pose.
That is so Oz and sure enough, I looked over at him, while
viewing this pic and he had his paw crooked exactly the same. :)
Wish Iíd had the camera at the ready.

Love this pic too

Oh heck! I love all the pics. He is just too adorable.

On his perked up ears, only 20% of Collieís ears tip naturally. To
get that look, most are taping or gluing the ears down while
theyíre puppies and the cartilage is forming. So if you really want
his ears to tip, you might look into that. I didnít go that route,
because I didnít see much point in it, since Oz is my companion
and I didnít have any intention of ever showing him.

As to the movement thing, maybe start with something a less
intimidating. Get the buja board or just get a small board and
put a broomstick under it. Get your best treats out and make a
game out of him touching it and pawing down one end and
walking on it. Howís Darlin do with things like this? Get her
involved too. If he sees Darlin having fun, heís gonna want to
join too. Make that board the most wonderful, funnest thing ever.

10-16-2003, 02:26 PM
Amber!! Lmao BEEP chunks! Lol :p

Par, I'll look into the buja board and building it. Did you build it for your Oz? How long did it take hi mto get used to it?

10-16-2003, 02:32 PM
About the paw thing..Snap a picture sometime of him doin it! :) Lmao! :p

The ears thing too..I feel the exact same way about weighing them down. My mom wants them to be tipped, but Ozzy isn't her dog! :p He's mine..mine all mine. :D

10-16-2003, 03:23 PM
AWW! Ozz Man! You take my breath away!!! You are one Handsome fella!! Love the ears! :p

10-16-2003, 03:30 PM
Thanks Amber!! :D

I loved the pictures of Ozzy. He is a cute baby boy and I just bet, just by looking at his pictures, that is very playful. What breed is he and how old? He still looks very young to me.
I don't know if sending these pictures if everyone will shut up! I think you're going to be seeing tons of responses to these adorable pictures. Please tell me more about him.
I have a Shihtzu, who is tri-colored, gold and white, with a black mask. She is very loveable and playfun too. Her name is April and she is pictured to the left here, "praying".
Have a great day.:)

Katie is so pretty! Is she a shnauzer? My mom has one, that has the same colors and is about eight or nine years old. My mom's Shnauzer is very protective of her and very loveable, enjoys sitting in her mom & dad's lap. :)

10-16-2003, 03:59 PM
I wanted to let you know that I kept reading on and found that Ozzy is a Collie. But please tell me more about him!:)

10-16-2003, 04:40 PM
Lol! Okay.

Yes--Ozzy is a smooth coat collie. He is a blue merle, which is the color he is.
Ozzy is 10 weeks old, that's around 3 months.
Oz is playful when he wants to be, but if you decide to wake him up and then play, or go outside, he'll only get up if you run away from him. He likes to chase me. :)
Ozzy wants to be like his older sister, the Shih Tzu/Poodle, named Darlin. :)
When Darlin pees, he'll pee too! When Darlin sleeps, he sleeps until he feels like playing..THEN he'll pounce on her and wake her up.
They LOVE to wrestle and run around barking at eachother. Even though he's about 12 lbs heavier than her, and about 5 inches taller Darlin is the big dog in the house. If she's eating, and he tries to get her food, she'll nip at him. Good girl. ;)
Hmm..Ozzy is going to have his first obediance classes in January at Petco. He will be socialized until he is 9 months old, when we start our agility training. We are future agility champions!! :)
If you want to know more, just ask! :D

10-16-2003, 06:25 PM
Thank you for telling me about your happy babies. They must be so much fun to watch! Sounds like older sis may have been a big help to you during "potty training". Ozzy is just really adorable and Darlin is too! But you must know that already! :D Pretty popular pups here!
Ten weeks; such a fun age! By now the potty training is over and now it is time for more fun! Was Ozzy a clumsy puppy? I love to watch a puppy that is of good size, such as Ozzy take off running through the house, front paws become further apart and they slide; ending up on their tummies with front paws out to either side! That is so cute!:D
I know it is a sight to see the two of them wrestle. My little April (Shih-Tzu) loves to go out and play games with my husband's Lil' Ann, who is a very large, seven month old Rottwieler. Most of the time Lil' Ann has to be on a line that slides a good distance, but only goes so far. This gives April the opportunity to tease her because even with such a distance for Lil' Ann to go, April can go further, because she isn't on a line. She just takes brief trips outside without a leash to go potty. I stand out in the general are she is in to keep an eye out on her. I am unable to lead her on a leash with my disabilities. How old is Darlin? And what is her personality like?:)

You mean tipped ears like these?
Ehh..probably not. Only one of Molly's ear are tipped...the other one, it just "out there". :p I love her ears though; when she gets really excited and starts jumping around, her ears flop. :D
Heheh, it's very cute. :)

I want more pictures of Ozzy Cayter! ;)

10-16-2003, 06:39 PM
How cute!!! Man what I would give to have another puppy to play with...*sigh*

This is my favorite!

10-16-2003, 06:47 PM
Thanks everybody!! :)
April's mommy- Oz is still a pup and always will be at heart! :D He doesn't do the floppy thing, but he slips someimes! ;)

10-16-2003, 06:54 PM
I love Duke and Simba's festive outfits! They are Ready for Fall And for Halloween with those bandanas! :)

10-16-2003, 09:45 PM
I was just wondering if he did do that sliding and sprawling out thing that larger breed puppies do; I just think that is so funny and adorable when they do that. I hope you didn't think I meant clumsy in a bad way, just a puppy way. I used to laugh at our bigger ones when they done that. I loved it! I love your Oz and your Darlin. I hope you keep the pictures coming! Thank you for your replies and appreciate everyone's sweet things they tell me about April and answers to my questions.:D

10-16-2003, 10:11 PM
Awwww Ozzy is so adorable! Molly you are a lucky girl!:p I loved all of them, I don't think I could pick a favorite! Thank you so much for sharing, I love seeing and hearing about him, you are so lucky that you have a puppy now, my Prince has grown up so fast!;)

10-16-2003, 10:35 PM
Oh, but I know how you feel, Emma! I have one that's a year old tomorrow too, ya know..? ;)

April's mommy-
No he didn't. :) He would just slip and slide around. He still does slip sometimes. He'll be chasing someone, or Darlin at full speed and just VROOM! His long, gangly legs will be to much to handle and he'll just slide until he runs into something!! Lol! :p

10-16-2003, 10:42 PM
Ozzy, you're too cute!

How 'bout some pics with his big (ie: older) sister???

10-16-2003, 10:45 PM
It's her birthday tomorrow, so plenty then!! :)

Nope didn't do the buja board. Unfortunately I didn't find out
about it until I already had teeter totter issues with Oz at
about 10 or 11 mos old. To try to get him over his fear I
set up a 6' long X 1' wide board sitting on a 3" deep post in my
Den and I just make a game out of getting Oz to touch it and
slam it to the ground.

Then outside I've got a full size teeter totter. Murph is
absolutely fearless about it, so I run him up and down it
getting all excited, so that Oz'll get excited about it too.

Next I'll put a trail of cheeze whiz on the board, starting at the
middle where I want him to pause. Then I'll run Oz around the
yard getting him all revved up and race him towards the see saw.

He charges up to the middle and then he eats his way along
the teeter totter with me supporting the board and slowly
lowering it, until he's at the end of it. I always put a big glob at
the middle and on the end where I want him to pause and give
the command "Wait", when he gets there. I'm definitely seeing
some progress, so I think we'll get there eventually.

Good boy, Oz!
That's really interesting! Of course I won't need to try that for a while, either. ;) But hey, good idea! I tihnk I'll go with the Buja Board though. What do you think?

10-17-2003, 12:55 PM
LOL:D That sounds very funny and cute too! I love to see them play like that! You must get plenty of laughs along with that love. I know I do out of April even at one year and five months!

10-17-2003, 01:00 PM
Oh I could look at pictures like that all day long!!!

10-17-2003, 01:01 PM
Thanks! :)

10-17-2003, 01:53 PM

10-17-2003, 02:36 PM
LOL! Well thank you!
There's a thread for it somewhere in Dog General..;)
Hey--do you have a Rottweiler??!! :D

10-17-2003, 04:45 PM
:D You are welcome!
Well, the Rott is actually my husband's seven month old baby. It is time to take new pictures. She has grown so much since this one of her was taken. Her name is Lil' Ann and she is seven months old. She is very happy, affectionate, clumsy (in the cute way I love so) and don't know her own strength. She thinks she is little like April i believe. LOL:D

10-17-2003, 05:38 PM
Aww she's beautiful! :)
YES YES! Pics! Pics! Pics! Pics! Pics! :D

10-17-2003, 06:12 PM
:D Thank you. I am attaching a picture of Lil' Ann for you to see a little better than these smaller ones. (The Rottwieller)

10-17-2003, 06:25 PM
Is that her now?!
What gorgeous face! Wow, she's a beauty! :D

10-18-2003, 06:26 PM
It is more recent than the the one in my signature, I just asked my husband to get one now so you can see one of her now, once I get it downloaded and sent to my pictures I will send it to you as an attachment. Thank you, she is a very pretty girl. She is my husband's baby and is a bit more than I can handle; very hyper and rough on me, she jumps on me and wants to sit on me, and I am not in any condition to do much more than pet her now . I know she knows I love her, but doesn't understand that she isn't little anymore and that mommy isn't able to keep up with her or hold her anymore. :(
I will have the new picture of Lil' Ann just shortly.:)
