Hi everyone! I discovered PT a little while ago but am just now getting around to introducing my little boy. His full name is Boomer Sooner in honor of the Oklahoma Univ. fight song (my husband's decision:D ) Boomer is a very laid back cat, as long as the doorbell doesn't ring and the vacuum cleaner stays safely in the closet. He doesn't usually like to be a lap cat, but simply MUST follow me around from room to room while my husband is away at work. Boomer came to live in our home about a month or two ago when his previous owners had a baby and discovered that their new baby was allergic to poor Boomer. My husband was very adament that we were not to have a cat while living on the military base over here in Japan.(He's not technically allowed in our apartment :cool: ) However he knew how much i wanted a cat and Boomer (then named Oscar) just practically fell into our laps and my sweet husband caved in :D Now, after only a short time, Boomer effectively has him wrapped around his little paw!;) It didn't take long before my husband's rule of "No cats on the furniture" was overturned and now Boomer is a regular fixture on our bed by night and couch/chairs by day. I've attached a picture of him because i haven't yet figured out how to put it into this actual message.

Boomer is my grandkitty! He looks great but I have not seen him yet - we need to go to Japan to visit. (Hi sweetie)

Welcome to Pet Talk. Your Boomer is gorgeous and looks a lot like my Cirrus. I'm so glad that your husband gave in and let you adopt him. He sure looks comfy on your bed. :) I look forward to hearing more about him and seeing more pics of him too. :)

Hehehe who knew how many adorable kitties there were with my Boomer's beautiful markings:) Boomer's previous owner adopted him from the on base adoption center and acdording to them, they think he's a little over a year old. Thanks for all the welcomes! Boomer just loves to be the center of attention! I'll post more pictures just as soon as I can run get some more batteries for my digital camera.
