Juni had an emergency vet appointment today. It seems that she has a scratched cornea right now. Her one eye is sore, closed and scratched. I suspect she ran into something with her ecollar on and it scratched her eye. She will need medication twice a day, in her eye. She is no longer wearing the collar.
I have my door closed to my office and everyone knows she is here. The office is pet friendly and I will let her out to play later in the day. Probably around 4:30 or so. She is being good and is sitting on my desk with little protest. Of course she used her litter box in her container, right before I brought her into the office. Nice.
Isn't it always something. This week alone I have spent over $200 on Juni and Miley's office visits and medications.
Juni is climbing on my as I type. And purring....

But lucky you too! How nice to have her in the office with you! Of course I don't know how much work is getting done.....;) :D
Sorry to hear she scratched her eye, poor little one. :( But as usual, it doesn't sound like it's keeping her down any. I really think she's like Graemer in that way, that she doesn't let anything keep her down, and if she's ever just really quiet and calm some day, you'll know she's not feeling well. :D

Oh poor Juni girl! I hope you get better soon.
But Sallyanne: why can't you come to my office with her;)
I don't think she can now do any bad to her stitches so she's better off without that collar.

Oh, Juni Rose I hope you feel better. I'm so sorry to hear about your eye.
I wish I worked in a place that was animal friendly. I find my furkids to be great stress at releiving stress that I wish I could have one at work with me.
Gosh, it's nice that you were able to bring her to work with you. I doubt that my boss would welcome that idea! :) My Andy also had a scratched cornea a couple of years ago. The vet thought it might have happened when he and Trevor were having one of their rolypoly play sessions. I remember trying to administer the drops. It was not easy, but then again Andy is not an easy cat to treat for anything. He's definitely not as relaxed and laid back as Trevor. Good luck with the drops! Let us know how it goes. :)

Juni Rose!
Oh, baby! It's good to have your Mama close, isn't it?
At least the cornea is the fastest healing part of the body.
She'll be fine. We'll be thinking of her.
;)
Juni Rose, your Momma has had enough lately. Now you be a good girl and heal very fast. It was really nice though, that you climbed onto her lap and purred. That makes it all worthwhile.

She just had her third dose of meds. Her eye looks better already. At least she is opening it now. I think she must have run into something while she was wearing her e-collar and scratched her eye. It is a big spot...the scratch, that is.
Juni is acting as though I am killing her when I give her the meds. I stuff her little body into a cut off sweat shirt sleeve and poke her tiny head out the cuff. She struggles, but at least I don't get scratched. She yells the entire time...sorta a high pitched screech. I have to do this twice a day, so by the time it is time to re-medicate, she has forgotten about the first time!
Miley is doing nicely. Both cats are leaving their spots and incisions alone so we are no longer wearing the ecollars. I sent away for new e-collars to have on hand. They came from the Revival Animal web site. They are soft and look more like bibs. I am not sure if they will work.....but I will let you know. I am sure Miley will come up with another hot spot and when she does, I will try the new ecollar.
SAS I'm glad to hear Juni is better. You are a better woman than I. It took hubby AND me to give Andy his drops! :D
I think the fact that you have purchased you very own e-collars is almost a guarantee that you won't need them any more! HA! It seems when we are prepared for something it doesn't happen! Which is a good thing!!! :)

Oh these Abys. When they want their ways they really insist. You never could believe how strong a 7,5 lb cat can be (talking about Filou).
When he needed eye drops (for an infection) it took the two of us.
Sallyanne: when Sara was here, Filou was curious and came and checked her with his nose very close but not touching her. Of course he took treats from her. But then she picked him up and immediately he began with a deep growl:rolleyes: ;)
Give Juni a kissie. I would love to meet you and your cats one day.

I am glad dear little Juni's eye is getting better. I know it helps to have her mommy with her. I'm glad Miley is doing well too.

I want to know if Juni will get a paycheck, what her title is, and does she get catnip breaks?
I hope her little eye gets better!
