Oh boy.... today I took in 3 tiny and nasty dirty baby kittens...only 2-3 weeks old. You would not have believed the horrendous condition these babies were in..... eyes oozing and swollen, bodies covered in excrement, swarming with fleas. :( :(
I bathed them all and have begun syringe-feeding them with KMR... they are feeding well, and I am feeling encouraged! This is my first experience with "bottle babies"... but all is well thus far. Please say a prayer that these tiny tikes will survive and thrive under my care!
Thanks!
Kim --- CatMommy:)

Kim, I hate to imagine how anyone could have allowed these babies to be in such a terrible condition. I have every confidence they will thrive and grow healthy under your loving care.
They are precious.

You go, girl! Those kittens are in GREAT hands and I know they're going to be fine. As usual, I'll say a prayer for their fast growth and health.
Just a little advice from experience. Since it's your first time bottle feeding, they need to be fed every 2-3 hours. Make sure you put them in a large carrier padded with towels and either a hot water bottle or a heating pad set on "low". They also sell those rice pillows you can heat up in the microwave. If you use those, you'll also need to put them under alot of padding.
After feeding them, you'll need to "help" them poo and pee, by rubbing just above the rectum with either a cotton ball or soft cloth. Believe me, you'll KNOW when they go.
I didn't know if you needed any advice so I thought I'd just mention it. Carry on, catwoman!!! ;) And keep us posted.

Oh Kim, you are such an angel to these little sweeties. I know they will thrive and grow healthy under your care.
Once again I don't understand how people could let this happen in the first place, but they have now found you and I'm sure they are now on their way to living long happy lives. :D

Oh what precious little ones. Where did they come from in such a condition? What happened to the mom? Is it known? What a wonderful job you're doing!

I have all the same questions as Lisa, but mostly wanted to say a huge THANK YOU, once again, to you, Kim, for being there and helping. :)
