I took in two sibling kittens night before last. Both were born without tails, and one was born without a front leg. :( At first I was afraid it was an abuse case, but there are no signs of scar tissue nor missing hair. The two brothers are as sweet as can be...real purr babies. I hope someone special will adopt them.... I have named the 3 legged boy Mercy.

Awwww they sure look like sweethearts. I also hope that you'll be able to find the right caring person to give them a loving forever home.

Ya know what Kim??? Mercy has no idea he is a special needs kitty. Cats that are born without a limb, etc. live very active, healthy lives. If you lived closer, I'd adopt him!!! How far is Michigan from Tennessee anyway??? Please let us know how you make out finding him a home.

When my husband and I are in a position again where we can adopt more cats, these are exactly the kitties we will be on the lookout for. Everyone wants perfect cats and these cats are!
Kim you are an angel!

Not too far at all, Donna. :D Especially considering the fact that I would help in the transport. I've got no problem making a run down to Tennessee or Southern Indiana if Kim would meet me part way......
I just wish I could bring Mercy and his brother home myself. :( ;) :D

I am most certainly up for it, it would just be a matter of timing. We will be gone on vacation the first two weekends in October, and this weekend we're preparing for that vacation, so I couldn't do it until towards the end of October, but then I'd be more than happy to help!
Keep me posted. :D

I'll just need to know what weekend so I can put in for the time off at my part-time job.
And I'll need directions too. I am what you'd call "Geographically Challenged" :p

Uh, Kim??
There's been a little change of plans. I caught the mama of the kittens tonight and it looks like she's not at all feral. Which means once she's checked out at the shelter, I'll probably be fostering her. That puts me at my limit of 9.
Please check out some of the sites I posted. Maybe they can help. Hope you're not mad. :(
I took in a 3 legged cat. Found her at a rest stop in Oklahoma nearly frozen. He ears were ever frozen off! She now lives in San Diego, California with my sister who graciously adopted her from me. She now lives in luxury and will never be cold again. She is as fat as a house now and the 3 legs she does have are strong as can be. She is very happy and has given us alot of joy.

Cuteness overload!!! They are just too cute for words. It's amazing how animals can adapt to different situations. One of our Humane Society volunteers adopted a 3-legged dog and that dog can outrun anyone on the agility course.
Welcome Marty and Mercy. We look forward to seeing many more pictures of your sweet facies.:) :)

Excellent news. These babies deserve a good home.
A friend of mine has a dog who lost a leg after a road accident and it hasn't ever slowed her down. She just gets on with life. I'm sure your beautiful kittens are the same.
I'm so pleased we'll be able to see more pictures of these adorable boys.:D

Kim - I went to MTSU for three years from 85-88 before transferring to UT to finish. I live in Knoxville now but did live in Nashville (next to Hickory Hollow Mall) for two years right after I got married.
We occassionally drive to Nashville to just see how things have change and hit a few of our favorites spots.
