I too had the privilege of rescuing a "Bailey", his name was Turbo (cause he could run like he was turbo charged) and he looked almost exactly like Bailey. He disappeared one day after 3 wonderful years with him. No doubt someone also thought he was gorgeous and wanted him to be theirs. He was a sweetheart and trusted only me to pick him up. He would meet me at my car and wait for me to get out and would roll over on his back for a tummy rub. Then I would pick him up and give him chin kisses which he loved. He came and went as he pleased, he would have it no other way. It has been 5 years since I saw my little love, and I still miss him terribly. I'm so glad they found Baily and brought him home safely.

How wonderful that the catfather of K&L's herd is COTD today. What a story! How dangerous it was when you were trapped in that storm drain! But you still could inform your humans that you were there waiting for them.
One of the most touching rescue stories we have heard so far.
And now: what a handsome king you are:) Purrrfectly groomed and spoiled rotten! That's the life you deserve!
Have a cat party today with all your brothers and sisters, dear Bailey:)

Bailey, what an amazing story! I had tears in my eyes when I read that you had been trapped in a storm drain, and hurt your hip! You are so very lucky to have been rescued, and I am very releived that you are now an inside cat!
What makes your story even more special is that you inspired your parents to become involved in cat rescues, and now they have a whole bunch of lucky kitties.
I hope you get lots of extra special luvvies on your extra special day!
Congrats on being our beautiful blue-eyed Cat of The Day!

I thought I recognized that handsome face! What a great story how you CATalyzed "cat-virgins" into becoming cat herders and rescuers! I love the part about extracting Bailey from the storm drain. There's something very Mission Impossible-ish about that mental picture!:D

Beautiful, brave Bailey,
My how my eyes watered when I read the paragraph begining with you not returning....I was so scared to read it, but oh what a TAIL! Safely rescued, and loved back into good health by the wonderful K&L team!!! And, they have created an entire Catdom for you to preside over. We should all be so lucky.
Wonderful story, happy ending on two accounts, yours, and your family's commitment to the feral community. Have a wonderful day basking in the sun.

What a handsome boy you are! You certainly have adventures don't you? I'm so glad you are all safe and well now. I can't stand to let a hungry cat come by without giving it a hearty meal, so I quite understand how you got all your brothers and sisters. Congratulations, sweetie, on being our special Cat of the Day today!!!:D

Aww Bailey, you are such a gorgeous boy. Your story brought tears to my eyes. So sad at first but then so heartwarming at the end. I can just picture your meowmie going headfirst down the storm drain to rescue you, and your meowmie continues to go headfirst in rescuing precious furbabies just like you.
You are so lucky to be a part of K&L's crew, as you know you will have a long, healthy and happy life.
Congratulations sweetie on being our COTD.

I am so glad I jumped back this evening to check COTD...I didn't have time to get here this morn as usual. Bailey, you are so magnificent, and then to read the wonderful story your purrsons shared. You not only showed them how terrific you are, but opened their hearts to others - more HAPPY cats!!!!
Paw applause to your purrsons, Bailey, and may you have a long and happy life protected and loved!
Oh, and should you want to read about another Bailee with a story to tell, we hope you'll check out www.cathappy.com/Bailee.htm

You are so beautiful Bailey! My own Bailey looks much like you except his markings are darker. You certainly have had some adventures in your life. How did you get down into that storm drain anyway? I'm glad you're now an indoor kitty. Being one of 17 kitties is adventure enough! I admire your humans for taking care of so many cats. Long and happy life to you Bailey, our beautiful COTD!

Dear K & L, what a story! I am sorry Bailey was lost and hurt, but you saw to it that there was a happy ending. It’s great that Bailey turned you into cat lovers and that you are willing to share that love with so many that need it. Special congratulations to a handsome Cat of the Day.

Beautiful Blue-eyed Bailey, I got chills reading your story... at first feeling heart-broken imagining you losing hope while trapped alone in that drain sewer, and with a broken hip, poor baby... then I got tears of JOY for you as I read on about the wonderful dedication and rescue effort of your loving family!
I'm soooo glad all turned out well, and that you stay indoors now and have recovered fully! You are a gorgeous baby, Bailey. Oh, and you live almost in our neighborhood--we're in Phoenix too!
Stay HAPPY and help your PURR-ents take care of all those other kitties they've rescued. What a wonderful family you have! You sure deserve to be our Honorable COTD!!! ;) :D :)

Yeah Bailey!!! I knew your sweet face as soon as I saw it, and your story confirmed that you are PT's very own precious Bailey. How wonderful to see you as COTD! :D
Such a sad story you had though. I had no idea you had such a rough start in life, or that you were the beginning of what has turned into a wonderful home for many kitties. And not only to your precious humans provide a wonderful home for you and the rest of your herd, they spend their precious time looking after and caring for all your brothers and sisters in the park that aren't as lucky as you to find such a wonderful furever home.
You truly changed the lives of your humans, and thus the lives of many, many more kitties. All because you had the persistence to keep meowing so they could get you out of that nasty ol' drain.
Even though I'm late, I want to send you big, big hugs and smoochies to you today for being such a wonderful kitty and bringing about so much good for your brethren.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, Bailey, you are one of the most beautiful kitties I know. :D
