I have another question regarding Lily (sorry, but I just can't help being a bit worried about possible health risks for Luna :().
I have noticed several times in the past her tongue is not really pink, more like salmon, you can see it very well in that picture.

Of course, when we were at the vet's office, Lily was so excited her tongue looked really pink, so the vet said she looks fine, but sometimes it's still looking like in the photo above. Anyone else have noticed this in cats/kittens?
BTW, her gums are looking perfectly pink!

You think that's a normal healthy kitten tongue color? :) Okay, I'll try to relax! :)

I hope this advice isn't going to end up with my foot in my mouth but here goes....
Kirsten, You sound like a younger version of me... a bit of a worry wart. (Kindly meant comment, I am one too)
I understand that you are very concerned with safeguarding your beautiful Luna's health, so I would take your Lily to the vets and ask for a comprehensive health check. This should put your mind at rest over any serious health concerns.
Of course I don't want to miss out on any photos, so regular cutie updates please.
PS. That tongue photo is so cute.

She looks fine to me, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I agree with everyone that she is just fine, but at least next week you'll have complete answers from the vet. Just make sure and voice all your questions then. She/he might think you're a little over worried/protective, but just them her/him know that you'd rather be safe than sorry. And it sounds like a lot of people over there already think you're a bit of a worry wart (thanks PIF :D ) about your kitties, but you already know that and hopefully can let this bounce off like their comments about letting the kitties outside.
I think you have a perfectly healthy, not to mention adorable, kitten on your hands. :D Good luck at your appointment next week, and please be sure and let us know what she/he had to say.
Oh, and please provide more pictures too. Thanks. :D

Looks like a perfectly healthy kitty tongue to me -- and an extremely cute one to boot!
BTW -- How did you get that picture? I keep trying to get my kitties tongues (another one for the contest bin? Cutest tongue?) but they're too quick to catch with their tongues hanging out! <sigh>

I have to agree with all of the above posts, her tounge look perfect. My Abner has a very pale pink tongue, he is in perfect health. Mystic's tongue is almost a red color, she's perfect too.
I have to agree, that if we have a contest for cutest tongue, Lily would have it hands down.

Okay, I'll ask the vet again on Monday and try not to worry too much. My vet thinks I'm overprotective anyway, :o but I just don't want Luna to be exposed to some kind of virus.
FIP still is my biggest fear when it comes to cats, but I know there's no reliable way to find out if a cat has it or not. And the vets here don't do blood tests unless there is an indication for a disease.
