You'll have great success with the dog food. Just let it take time for your dog to adapt to it. It takes a good 4-6 weeks and it is a rich food.

And rich foods can put lots of weight on adult dogs, as we have learned with the Flint River Ranch. The girls loved it, but gained LOTS of weight as adults.

I think you'll be fine with Keegan as a puppy!! That dog food is expensive though, isn't it?

I have been so happy to be on the Iams Weight Control, because although it is cheaper than Flint River Ranch, it is MUCH better nutritionally than many are, and the girls are losing weight.

In fact, we have a "weigh in" tomorrow for Lilly, as she has an appointment at Dr. Robinson at 4, to get retested for her fungus. Cross your fingers.

:D

shais_mom,

Call around different feed places, pet shops that carry it. They could have different prices.
I was paying $43.00 at a pet store
by my house. I went into a pet
store near work, and paid $36.00

The 2nd pet store also
has monthly in store coupons for $2.00 off anything over $25.00.
So that gives me an extra savings.

So unless you live in a small town
shop around for the best price. :)

I DO live in a very rural area, and I checked the website to see if they were the only ones that sold it and the place I went is the closest place within an hour or hour and half from me!!!
I checked the website to see how much a big bag would be to be shipped and it was $58!!!
I think I will stick to the $40!!!
The pet store I always go to doesn't carry it. And like I said the rest of the places were around 50-75 mi away!!!

I guess that's one good point about
living in the city, price wars. hehehe
$40.00 dollars doesn't sound so bad
after you mentioned the price of $58 or
driving over 50 miles. :)

Wow, after reading what some of you are having to pay for the 33# bag of Innova, I'm gonna shut my mouth and stop complaining about the price of that stuff--it only costs me $38 after sales tax, and a feed store only a mile away sells it! :D We're lucky, I now know...
