I need to find new owners for my dog Seven, in the Greater Vancouver area of BC. She is a Rottie X, 8 years old and in good health. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to care for her, and would love to find a good home for her.

She's a sweetie, with a wonderful temperament, and a tendency to lick a lot. She was a rescue dog when she was a year old, and due to her treatment then, will likely develop arthritis in her hips over the next few years.

She is used to staying in a large backyard, though she also lives well indoors.

This is not a happy time, but I'd like to make the best of it for her, and find someone who will love her in the coming years. If anyone is interested in meeting her, please contact me through the website.

This belongs in dog rescue but she's gorgeous none the less. May I ask why she needs another home?

Hey it's Missy (my best friend) :)

My guess is she's gone to bed, so I'll fill in some holes. Seven is technically her bf's friends dog. Missy and her bf (well her bf anyway) were supposed to care for it until her original owner could take her, but he moved and got another dog that doesn't like Seven (don't get me started.. I know it was a stupid move ) and now Missy and her bf are moving and can't take Seven with them. They don't want to take her to a shelter because she has a lot of things working against her: her size, breed, hip problems, age etc.

She is the sweetest dog, ever, though, and if I could I would take her. She's very affectionate once she gets to know you but can be shy at first :)

I don't mean to speak for Missy.. I just know some of the details so I thought I would share :) I'm sure she will be back in the morning to answer you, though. :)

oh I hope she finds a great home soon. I'd hate to see her in a shelter. I'd snatch her up but it isn't possible right now. Maybe you could find an independant rescue around here and ask them to list her while she remained with you. I've seen a few rescues do that. Good luck finding her a good home :)
