no, i'm mean the buff IS shown under ascob, here's an excerpt from the standard:D
"Color and Markings
Black Variety--Solid color black to include black with tan points. The black should be jet; shadings of brown or liver in the coat are not desirable. A small amount of white on the chest and/or throat is allowed; white in any other location shall disqualify.
Any Solid Color Other than Black (ASCOB)--Any solid color other than black, ranging from lightest cream to darkest red, including brown and brown with tan points. The color shall be of a uniform shade, but lighter color of the feathering is permissible. A small amount of white on the chest and/or throat is allowed; white in any other location shall disqualify.
Parti-Color Variety--Two or more solid, well broken colors, one of which must be white; black and white, red and white (the red may range from lightest cream to darkest red), brown and white, and roans, to include any such color combination with tan points. It is preferable that the tan markings be located in the same pattern as for the tan points in the Black and ASCOB varieties. Roans are classified as parti-colors and may be of any of the usual roaning patterns. Primary color which is ninety percent (90%) or more shall disqualify."

they do when they're puppies, but it is extremely easy to train them not to. It is extremely easy to train them to do ANYTHING. :D

I agree, I love them all! But it is really hard for me to decide. I have always owned Buffs or Reds. I think the next Cocker I get will be a Parti. I always own two Cockers at a time, and I would love to own a Buff and a Parti.
In the poll I chose Buff.

Tonee (RB) lived to almost 16 years old. 14 years of her life she peed when I came home form work, if I looked at her when I open the door it was all over. I had to ignor her and not get her excited. If I just looked at her and smiled she would pee. A lot of them are that way, but you find way to adjust the excitement levels

Some cockers are like that, but the only time I've had that happen is when my family and I were gone on a 2 week trip, and we had just gotton Cally and Max(we had neighbor's caring for them) .Well we separates the pen because Windsor wasn't used to Max and Cally yet and sometimes they fought, so we just separted them in case, Well anyway, my brother lifted Cally to pull her out of the pen, and she peed on him! I almost died laughing! On his white shirt too!!! But besides that one time, nothing has ever happened like that.
I think the reason sometimes they has accidents is because they are a family dog, and sometimes they get excited when you come home, or play with them.

Wow.. I wish that was true with my friend's cockers. She's tried and tried to train then but they're as dumb as a doorknob.

Thats a little weird. I trained my dogs by myself when I was 5/6 years old. I don't know about other's cockers, but all the cockers that I've had were SO SMART. Mine have taught themselves to do many tricks. They taught themselves to open and close doors, and to play soccer, etc.

We don't have a doggiedoor, or a doggiedoorbell, but also we don't need one. Whenever my dogs have to go to the bathroom, they "yell"(like a yodel, or a howl). They can't open the house doors, without you leaving them a tad bit open, but they can open and close the porch door by themselves.

The only reason that i am afraid to get a doggie door is that I am afraid other animals may come in! :)
