With all the turmoil in her life  Edwina thought she would get out of town. But where to go????? She did some surfing on the internet and came up with an idea (with a little help from Killearn Kitties!)

Edwina you look such a bonnie lass in your tartan and tam o'shanter. You will be by far the most stylish feline in Edinburgh.

Forget about that new guy for awhile and have a great time at the Edinburgh Festival! Sounds wonderful, and I hear Scotland is bee-u-tee-ful at this time of year! :D

Dear Edwina,
Do you need an escort to accompany you on your outing to Scotland? I would be delighted to help you out! But I must have a hat or scarf to show off your beautiful outfit!
Yours forever,
Butter :)

Miss Edwina, what a strikingly beautiful lassie you are. This fall you should venture to New Hampshire for the Highland Games. A wonderful festival. Smokey wants you to know that if you need someone to accompany you on your jaunt, he would be happy to come with you. ;)

Edwina, looking as smashing as you do in your new gear, you'll turn the heads of all the kitty boys in Scotland and you'll surely enjoy the beautiful nature there. :)

I've heard about haggis, and in my opinion, you should stay away from it, it smells horrible!!

Oh Miss Edwina, you are the finest Scottish Lass I've laid my eyes on...........

And just in case you get a chance to go hunting in Edinburgh, here is part of Robbie Burns' Poem "To A Mouse"

(Although I should warn you - they do talk a WEE BIT funny over there - I sould know - I was born just outside Edinburgh)

Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie,
O, what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi' bickering brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an' chase thee,
Wi' murd'ring pattle!

I'm truly sorry man's dominion,
Has broken nature's social union,
An' justifies that ill opinion,
Which makes thee startle
At me, thy poor, earth-born companion,
An' fellow-mortal!

Hey, be sure to bring a nice matching skirt for Don Eduardo!!;)

Oh Edwina you are after my own heart for I have lots of Scottish blood in me. I used to be in a Pipe band for years and I still say "there nothing so handsome as a man is a skirt...."

"If it's no Scottish, it's crap...."

You look beautiful in your hat and I know you will enjoy that haggis, but make sure you have the appropriate beverage to go along with it.

And tell me Miss Edwina, where do you get those hats. Does the blondie one make them for you????? And where is your sporran and flask????

Enjoy yourself sweetheart as you need a break from the shadow that lurks around the corner.:D

That was something that my Scottish relatives used to say all the time.

Heh, heh, heh. Isn't that the catch phrase from one of the Saturday Night Live sketches, too? That's the first time I heard it. Though it sounds like he got it from somewhere else by what you say.

Edwina, as always, you are stunning and a delight. Have a marvelous visit and may you be feeling much perkier when you get home.
