Let me set the scene:
Saturday late afternoon I brought Chevy, Timmy and Bonnie home from adoption day event. (Bonnie may be getting a new home....see other thread). With them came a little girl kitten. A VERY VERY scared little girl kitten about the same age (10 weeks). I put her closed carrier and the boys carrier in the foster room. Closed the door. Made sure all was secure. Then let her out. She ran out of the carrier to try to find a hiding spot. I picked her up for a few moments comfort and then set her down in a nice box that she could hide in and left the room.
At about 8 p.m. I went to check on her. NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO kitten!!!!!!  We spent 3 hours scouring that room for nooks and crannies that a kitten could get into. NOTHING! We searched the nearby rooms (on the SLIM chance that she raced past me unseen). NOTHING!
OK. We'll go to bed (I am NOT a night person. this is WAY past my bedtime)
4a.m. wake up and start scouring the room again. NOTHING! searching the other rooms. NOTHING! I even looked in the drop ceiling, the closet (even thought the door never opened). Looked behind and under everything 6 or 7 times. OMG  What am I going to do?
at 6a.m. as a desperate last ditch effort we took the drawers out of the desk. (now this is a large SOLID desk, No openings in the back or sides) but nevertheless, THERE she was. GO FIGURE?!?
It was then, and only then that we realized that under the desk, the part where you sit, there is a small opening behind the top drawer (the one that would be over our lap when you sat down). It is way towards the back and I never even knew it existed. Well, it is boarded up NOW.
WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, no pictures yet, but stay tuned she is a REAL looker!:D
