Hi all,

With a heavy heart after reading about Jessica, please go and look at the dogs at our shelter and tell me what you think of my write ups. I have been elevated to president as Vicki has decided to step down. It was truly a shock. I've spent the last 3 days trying to get everything in my life together. We are going to take Muzzle a Lab/Pointer mix who, I found out today, was going to be put down today if we had not decided to take him. He will be coming from West Virginia. I got a call today from a woman who had a Pit pup wander into her yard yesterday and she doesn't want to take it to Animal Control because they hate pits and put them ALL down. Mike and I talked about it and will probably take her. She is about 6 months (the lady is guessing), white with a black spot in the middle of her back and 2 black spots behind her right ear. She has one bluish grey eye and 1 brown, but she is NOT deaf. The woman thinks she was an indoor dog because the pads of her feet are still really soft. We will have to name her, so put your thinking caps on in case we take her.

Molly,
I checked out Cobb Care on Petfinder last night, but I was too tired to reply.
I think the write ups are fantastic!! They all sound so personal, I can't imagine someone in the area not going to at least check them out (especially Rose).
Sounds like it was a surprise that Vicki stepped down, and now you have even more work on your hands--we all know you can do it!!!

I had checked out Muzzle when you posted about him previously--thank you for taking him.

About the pit, no names come to me right now, but let us know if you get her!

Good luck with everything.

Thanks for the compliment. I am already really busy with it, but, it's for the animals. I got an email this morning from a guy about Rose, so we'll see what happens. The little Pitty girl may be taken by the brother of the woman who found her. I will know more in a couple of hours. I hope he takes her so that we don't have to put her at the shelter. She sounds like an absolute sweetheart. Suzanne, one of our volunteers, is bringing a digital camera today and we are taking new pictures of all the dogs, so check back!!

What a wondeful job you've done, Mugsy, highlighting the beauty and personality of these precious pups!:) I'll be checking out the "new and improved" photo gallery...could they be more beautiful?? As for the naming of the new addtion...hmmm, have to think about that one! Get back to you!

OMG! That little pit girl (although I think she's more boxer than pit) is such a doll. And good news. Kim's cousin has decided to adopt her and I think they are leaning toward Cupcake as a name. It truly fits her. If I can get Kim to get a picture,I'll post it. Susanne decided not to adopt Drake because her little dog didn't like him AT ALL! So, we are still looking for a home for him. Muzzle will be with us in the evening of the 3rd, so it will be a week before we get him. Thanks for the kind thoughts!
