Hi all,
With a heavy heart after reading about Jessica, please go and look at the dogs at our shelter and tell me what you think of my write ups. I have been elevated to president as Vicki has decided to step down. It was truly a shock. I've spent the last 3 days trying to get everything in my life together. We are going to take Muzzle a Lab/Pointer mix who, I found out today, was going to be put down today if we had not decided to take him. He will be coming from West Virginia. I got a call today from a woman who had a Pit pup wander into her yard yesterday and she doesn't want to take it to Animal Control because they hate pits and put them ALL down. Mike and I talked about it and will probably take her. She is about 6 months (the lady is guessing), white with a black spot in the middle of her back and 2 black spots behind her right ear. She has one bluish grey eye and 1 brown, but she is NOT deaf. The woman thinks she was an indoor dog because the pads of her feet are still really soft. We will have to name her, so put your thinking caps on in case we take her.
