it really looks like it hurts them... when theyare playing theyturn to run the other way and end up hitting a wall head first going flat out as fast as their short kitten legs can take them... i want to be able to stop them from hurting themselve... i just dont want to have to put toilet paper rolls all along the walls.

Silly kitties! It is likely that you can't really protect them - this sounds like a lesson they need to learn all by themselves. Kittens and kids just need to get banged up a bit to learn.
Just watch out for things like blood on their head or ears, or holding their heads at funny angles, or walking with a wobble or not in a straight line. These things could mean a kitten got hurt on that last romp around the room!
Good luck, little kitties! And don't scare your human so much!

My cat sometimes does that too. He doesn't do it on purpose it's just that sometimes he's turning around and that stupid wall is in the way! My cat is almost 8. I LUV MY CAT!! :)

How old is kitten?? I had a cat for nine years that ALWAYS ran down the stairs smack into a mirrored sliding door. :D She never hurt anything but her ego and ALWAYS looked like "WA???" Don't worry much unless something looks not right. Pics of said kitten pleez??

Tux does that all the time! We have a hardwood floor in the living room which is very slippery. Everytime he runs around the room, it's very hard for him to break, so he crashes into the wall. Luckily he has a very hard head and all of his 9 lives! :p
LOL what a silly kitty! :D
