Help!

The other day I noticed that Tux had clear fluid leaking out of his bum. :eek:
It smelled pretty awful, like rotten fish. Does anyone know why this is happening? :confused:

That is a definate trip to the vet. ASAP!

Yes go to the vet. It might just be a yeast infection, or something simple like that. But no matter what, only a vet trip can solve it.

I was feeding a stray this last winter that suddenly started leaking a clear fluid from her rectum. It turned out to be Colitis. But a trip to the vet is very necessary.

Tux went to the vet today. It turned out that he had infected anal sacs. (eewwww!) :eek:
This occurs when the sacs become clogged with the liquid used for scent marking. The vet emptied them and put Tux on a round of antibiotics.

I`m so glad that it wasn`t a more serious condition! :D

Whew! Thank goodness you took him in. Sounds kind of nasty if not treated, but no big deal if it's taken care of.
