long flight

hey everyone! well heres the deal , we have a flight from japan to america (approx. 17 hours long) and we are not aloud to put my cat to sleep ( he will be carried on and put under the seat) anything we can do to keep him from meowing?

You are REALLY LUCKY that you get to take the cat on board with you. NONE of the airlines flying out of Bahrain allow this, so Ally will have to go cargo.

Not sure about the meowing if you cant medicate - maybe some rescue remedy would hlep keep the cat calm. Someone else here on PT sould be able to advise you re dosage etc.

I moved from Israel to the USA with four cats on flight (11 hours to NY and 2 more to chicago) We had them all under the seats, in a dark carier that is pretty dark inside. None of them were drugged, and they were fine. Only one of them was meowing for a while but it wasn't too bad. The baby in the next row was much louder.
Don't worry about the cats, they handle the flight better than people, at least mine did :)
