The effects of the brushing weren't as dramatic on Peanut. I got a lot of hair out of her too, but not even 1/4 of what I got out of Tubby. And now when I brush her again, I just get straggly bits here and there, not the loads of it I'm still getting from Tubby. She is softer too though, although she always was my softy to begin with. ;) :D It's just amazing to me that Tubby=short hair=scads comes off with brushing and Peanut=long hair=not so much coming off with brushing. Seems backwards, but either way I'm glad they both are looking so good.

So after her brushing, Peanut decided to take a rest.

Then she sat up and thought she was in a deserty jungle or something.

Then she moved around to the other step and discovered the catnip plant I planted. Now that I finally got it to grow, it's growing like a weed! She was rubbing her head on and licking the leaves. The first one is the only good shot I got because she kept moving her head (rubbing it) making it blurry in the pics.

I now snip off a piece or two for them every evening. They roll around in it for awhile then all is quiet in the house. ;) :D

I had a fresh plant one time and Speckles just ate it and Max hated the smell - picky guy...and when I cut the leaves off it never grew back. It was an indoor plant though. Very frustrating to say the least.

Peanut, you grow sweeter every day and I'm so glad you are enjoying your drugs.....(ohhh, just got another flashback from the 60's  )

Thanks everyone. Peanut is my little sweetie pie and I think she's adorable too, but I'm a bit biased. :D ;) :D

Ellensy - I don't know where you're from, PH doesn't ring a bell with me, but if you are from the US or Canada, you should be able to find catnip in any pet store. They usually have the dried form. It's a plant that most cats love, and they goofy over it. Some kitty seem to get a glazed look in their eyes with it, so it is sometimes referred to as the drug of choice for them. The actual plant, I believe, is in the mint family. Looks a lot like mint, but smells a bit different. My two love to roll in it and rub their faces in it, then they lay there with the glazed "stoned" expression on their faces. :D

Sara, Peanut's tummy is doing really good! I check it every morning and the hairs are getting longer and starting to curl. Every morning when I check it I think I gotta take another pic to post for you all, but I always seem to get distracted and forget about it until the next morning. I'll try and get one soon. She's such a little smoochie girl. :D
