The AKC changed the JRT's breed name to the Parsons Rusell Terrier. Why??

Just thought I would let you all know and hoped maybe someone knew a reason for the switch? I find it silly. I'm still calling them JRT's.

They changed it on April Fools day.

They wanted to distinguish the two sizes : The short legged, longer bodied JACK Russell terrier, and the longer legged, larger PARSON russell terrier.

Jack russells are generally under 12.5, while parson russells are over 12.5.

They are still the same breed, just split up into different sizes.

I've a friend who has a JRT and according to her,
it's being changed because the Jack Russell Terrier Club
of America, which is the largest JRT registry in the world, is
opposed to the recognition of the breed by the AKC. They're
afraid of the working and hunting ability of the JRTs being
ruined by the show people. So they want different names
to make a clear dividing line between the two organizations.

then why just call it the mini and standard JRT, like they do with dachshunds, poodles, schnauzers, bull terriers, etc?
