what's your favorite breed, and why??

hey everyone, im new here and this is my 1st thread! yay! okay so whats your fav. breed, and why? what characteristics do u like about animals of that breed


my answer:
labs! (hint hint big surprise(my name))
but i luv ALL DOGS!!
labs are so loyal energetic, smart, happy, and helpful
all of my neighbors say that my lab, sandy, always has a smile on her face, and i always see it too......... i love the sweetness in a lab's personality, for example Sandy always wants to make friends with anybody she meets (dog , cat, human, anything) she always goes up to them with a smile and seems to say, "i wanna be your friend!!!" i luv that about her.....................................

Hmm...thats a tough one..lol, it has to be the Golden Retriever.
I love how their always eager to please. They have a fantasic temperment. They are extremly intelligent, one of the smartest breeds I know. What more can I say? I LOVE THEM!! :D :D

Anyways, my favorite "breed" is a Mutt. Although they aren't really considered a breed, I love Mutts!

Why? Who knows why! As long as I love em right?

Love is an unexplainable thing. :p


I also love Pit Bulls.

hummm...

my first favoret breed is the siberian Husky, I love em to death. I own one and woulden trade her for anything, not for a million dollers.

The reason I love siberian huskies is because, they are loyal, stubrin at times, they hve the best personalities, they talk *hee hee*, they are eager to learn, and they are so fun to be around, my siberian isnt hyper and she doesnt pull when on a leash. She does have a prey drive though :rolleyes:. but she is fine with adult cats.

my second favoret breed is.. umm... I dont know I love siberian huskies!!

My favourite breed:

Catahoula leopard dog!!!

Because they are smart, loyal, very protective, make great guard and watch dogs, they are large, their appearance is very cool and beautiful, and they are energetic.

Lol well...I'm with Kfamr. My favourite 'breed' are mutts. There are so many that are so easily available and what better than having great breeds into one dog?

Although..for my favourite actual "BREED" it would be border collies. They're so smart, sometimes too smart. I also love their size, not too big not too small. They come in so many fantastic colors and different coats, ears, etc. Such a variety! Aside from borders...I also love gsds.

Newfoundlands are my fav breed. I just love everything about them! There the perfect breed for me :D

Collies, Kuvascz, Belgian Tervunans, German Shepards, Malamutes, Huskys...ok pretty much big hairy dogs. But I have met few dogs I didn't like. I just know however when my husband and I are ready for dogs again it will be large "thumpable" dogs.

beside's mutts my favourite breed would have to be the Border Collies, english staffordshire bull terriers, mini bullies,ohh and the ?Dandie Dinmont Terrier

Gotta go with what I know.

For small dogs, my fave is the Cairn.
What the world needs is an attitude like theirs. They adjust to
whatever life sends their way and always find the joy in it.
Gregarious and happy-go-lucky to the max. Just the simple
gesture of getting a drink of water is enough to get their tail
a-wagging a mile a minute.

For big dogs, my fave is the Collie.
Such a devoted and selfless breed. They live for everybody
around them to be happy. Their happiness is a reflection of the
happiness of others around them. He's the cheerleader of
the dog world. Rooting for everything to go your way and
bending over backwards to make it happen.

i love bichon frise although a lot of people like bigger dogs i like the ones who fit perfect on your lap. They are so lovable and loyal. The best thing about them is they are hypo-allergenic. They are soo smat. The two that i have can open our screen door all by them selves!:D

BORDER COLLIES!! lol why?? because they dont love everyone, they are medium sized, they are the #1 most intelligent breed, they are able to learn sooooooo many more tricks and chores then the average dog, they have pretty patterens, they have not yet been ruined by the show buisness, they are one of the only breeds whos original jobs have not been replaced by machines, they are energetic, and loyal, I just love em to peices!! :D pluse I love dogsports, and I love teaching happy(my workaholic BC) how to help with my chores(she helps me take out the garbage, and water the garden, and feed the critters, and open gates for me etc..) and the playfulness of misty(my playaholic BC) goofy, barks at the weirdest things etc...:p that is why I love BCs!:D

I like Irish Setters because they are such nice dogs, they are very obediant and friendly with little children. I also like them because they were my first dogs, but right now if I had to get a dog I would get either a Jack Russell or a Border Collie!- Layka :) :D

Boxer's are great. Always have puppy in them no matter how old they get, great watch dogs, good with kids, will give you more love then you could ever need and loyal to the end. Tollers, because I have one and he is the BEST!:D I love all other dogs too.:) I love Tollers because they always seem to know how to cheer you up or make you laugh. They have the funniest expressions sometimes.:D
